Deputy Director Schulte returned to the basement after finishing his call. The first thing he heard was Kongges's roar, and he instinctively assumed a commanding posture, angrily shouting:
"Kongges, you are still wanted! Don't ruin your future! I order you to put down the gun!"
After these words, the deputy director walked down the last steps of the basement and saw the rifle in Kongges's hands.
These words were like adding fuel to the fire.
Kongges's sanity instantly collapsed. He swung the rifle butt ferociously towards Schulte's head.
With a dull thud, the dignified Deputy Director of the FBI Miami Branch had his skull split open, blood splattering everywhere, and he fell dead on the spot.
All the agents immediately stayed still, raised their hands high, not daring to make a sound, even holding their breath, fearing Kongges's rifle.
Kongges's eyes were bloodshot, completely losing his sanity.
