The driver's words revealed an excitement he himself hadn't noticed, but it heightened Lan Zihua's vigilance even more.
"Why is he like this? It's truly strange."
Lan Zihua furrowed her brow, then let out a cold laugh.

With that, Lan Zihua hung up the call, not giving the driver a chance to explain. The driver was stunned, stopped the car, stared blankly at his phone, then angrily pounded the steering wheel.

The driver felt unwilling inside, wanting to vent his anger, yet he realized it would be useless and only cause trouble. He also realized his earlier tone was too excited, noticed by Lan Zihua.
"This woman is too clever, deceiving her isn't easy."
The driver sighed deeply, thinking to himself, "Forget it, better head back first. I still need her trust; if she doesn't trust me, everything afterwards will be ruined."
