Standing at the location of his family's wooden building on Cow and Horse Street, Lin Xuankong looked somewhat surprised at the stone lions on either side of the spacious gate.
Having been away for more than twenty days, Lin Xuankong almost didn't recognize his own home... that old wooden building had been replaced with a blue brick and Glazed Glass tile two-story structure, which appeared quite grand!
"Madam, you're back!" A dignified woman in her thirties, dressed in a steward's outfit, suddenly stepped out from the entrance and bowed to the side of Lin Xuankong.
Lin Xuankong turned his head to look, only to see a Young Lady standing silently by his side, smiling brightly,
still wearing that green dress,
still as charming as ever,
though, she now carried a fresh scent of medicinal herbs.
