A pitch-black rift now hovered in the middle of the room. It didn't pull things in. It didn't exude any energy or release any force. It was simple there. A space of nothingness.
"For your many crimes against the livelihood of Pneuma City..." she said as she pushed Handu into the void, chains and all. The rift quickly closed after that, as if nothing had happened.
There were murmurs and an uncomfortable thickness in the air. Then the pneumarian of light turned and looked our way.
"Rabae. Please come to the floor."
"Follow me," Rabae told us as we walked down from our spectating seats and circled back the door. When we stepped onto the central floor, everyone gasped when they saw us.
Then, our bodies automatically transformed. Rabae was in his true, watery form he'd arrived on Earth in, the others were in their hybrid forms, and me in my evolved state.
There were even more gasps from the spectators.
Suddenly, a random klevonian dropped from the wall and seemingly drained all the coldness that still lingered in the air into himself. Oddly, he gave off a thermal aura after doing so. When he leapt back up the wall, he stood to the right of the reserved throne above.
"Silence," he called out.
All buzz and mutterings immediately ceased as a new, powerful presence was sensed entering the room.

Fun fact: Universal Sense - a temp-class cintracy that lets Rabae tie his senses to the universe, allowing him to feel all energy over great distances spanning entire solar systems. At maximum sensitivity, he can sense and feel others who are lightyears away. (This is how he located Viraa's energy from Alissia's awakening.)
