Nathan returned to his room. He had only been inside the Tower for a brief moment, but outside, an entire hour had already passed.
"Nathan..." Validia was there, standing with both her hands behind her back, as if bound.
Nathan, his tone hurried, replied to her greeting. "Validia... did you feel something strange?" he asked, his voice trembling.
"Yes, the energy outside has become a little murky, as if—"
"Damn..." Nathan suddenly hissed. His eyes widened, his heart pounding like war drums.
Validia froze.
Nathan's words made the hair on her neck stand on end. He turned to her sharply.
"No time to explain! Come with me now!" he shouted.
Without waiting for an answer, Nathan opened the door and dashed out of the room.
In the living room, his parents, who had been sitting casually, instantly stood up.
"Nathan?" His mother called out, shocked to see her eldest son running as if chased by a demon.
His father narrowed his eyes. "What is it? Why are you—"
