Chapter 532: So We're Filming a Wuxia Drama Now?

'Zorah Alpha? Why does that name sound so familiar?'

Steven narrowed his eyes, rummaging through his memories. Combined with what they had said about a moving volcano, the more he thought about it, the stronger that indescribable sense of déjà vu became.

But logically speaking, he shouldn't have any memory related to that thing. He was certain he'd never played Arknights before, so even if there were related memories, they shouldn't have come from there.

Of course, there was another possibility—maybe this damn game was doing one of those crossover events with a game that he knew of. That wouldn't be impossible either.

"Hm. That's all you know? Anything else you want to add?"

Failing to figure it out for the moment, Steven pinched his chin and shifted his gaze back to the man who looked like a student eagerly trying to answer the teacher's question.

"I… I don't know what else you'd like to know, sir. As for that Sankta, that's all the information we got from the boss. But—if you're interested in our experimental products, I can tell you everything I know."

Afraid that he'd be killed off the moment he lost his value, the man hurriedly offered more information that might be useful. He understood very well what usually happened to people like him once they were no longer needed.

"Experimental products? You mean stuff like that guy just now? I'll pass. They're so weak I can't even bear to look."

Glancing at the fallen Umbrella members scattered across the ground, Steven had zero interest in those so-called experiments. Sure, they might significantly enhance physical strength and endurance, but that's only work when the subject is on normal civvie, these augmentation did nothing to him.

As for those Originium Arts that resembled telekinesis, manipulating invisible weapons to attack… the power behind them was laughable. How could that compare to his own fists?

The man didn't dare utter a single complaint after hearing Steven dismiss their organization's proud achievement in one sentence. He only bowed even more humbly.

"You've got a good attitude. I'll give you a chance to turn yourself in. After you get out of prison someday, remember to start over. Don't join shady organizations like this again, got it?"

Steven handed him a Lungmen communicator and gestured with his chin, telling him to call and surrender. Only then did he turn around to free the bound girl nearby.

"Oh, and remember—your companions here were all defeated by this lady. Or you can say they killed themselves. Either way, that's not an unreasonable request, right? For you… and for this young lady."

He casually crushed the iron chains binding the girl while reminding the man, who was obediently dialing the Lungmen Guard Department.

Some things didn't need to be high-profile. Fighting crime anonymously felt cooler.

"…Uh… Sir? May I ask your name? I'm Waai Fu. Thank you for saving me."

Compared to the silent man who only nodded and followed orders, the furry girl who introduced herself as Waai Fu seemed far more lively after being freed.

Once the initial surprise faded, she didn't show fear even at the sight of the bodies on the ground. Instead, she cupped her fists in a martial salute and offered Steven her thanks directly.

Although Steven's earlier antics had been… rather bizarre, the fact that he had saved her was undeniable. No matter what, Waai Fu felt she had to thank her savior first.

"You don't need to thank me. Thank justice instead. In broad daylight, under the clear sky, these people dared to harass an innocent young lady—I simply could not stand by and allow it!"

Raising his hand with a righteous expression, Steven struck the pose of a hero who did good deeds without leaving his name. At this moment, it was genuinely hard to connect him with the absurd character he had been earlier.

The contrast only made him seem even more… unusual. Most ordinary people would probably keep their distance just from looking at him.

But Waai Fu clearly didn't fall into that category. Having practiced martial arts since childhood and grown up reading countless wuxia tales, she had long heard that the stronger a martial artist became, the more eccentric—sometimes even unhinged—they tended to be.

In her eyes, it was perfectly normal for reclusive masters to have strange temperaments. In fact, someone as impressive as Steven should be living beneath a cliff every day, waiting for a young hero chased by enemies to fall from above—only to pass on his lifetime of cultivation before peacefully passing away.

After witnessing Steven's unbelievable battle, Waai Fu had already categorized him as one of those legendary martial arts masters. As for why he looked like a boy only slightly older than herself, that didn't matter at all.

Advancing through martial arts to enlightenment, then rejuvenating and returning to youth—perfectly normal, right?

To Waai Fu, the reason Steven could unleash such terrifying speed and strength without using Arts had to be the aid of that legendary inner energy. And the fact that he used no flashy techniques—only the simplest military combat moves—was, in her mind, the ultimate realm of returning complexity to simplicity.

There was no doubt about it. He was a living, breathing hero. And Old Lee had told her that stories were fake—well, here was a real one right in front of her.

"Understood, Hero of Justice. I will never forget the kindness you've shown me. If there is ever anything you need from me, just say the word."

Waai Fu nodded vigorously, her golden eyes nearly sparkling with admiration. Charging alone into a den of criminals and defeating them single-handedly—how many times had she dreamed of such a scene? Who would have thought she'd witness it in real life?

'…Wait, she actually bought that?'

Steven hadn't expected his random nonsense to be taken seriously. He wasn't sure whether to call this little tiger naïve—or conclude that, like him, she was just a bit… off.

"Don't worry, Hero. I won't tell anyone anything about you. From today on, 'Lungmen's Most Tight-Lipped' will be my title."

She patted her chest confidently. The energetic gesture suited her tiger-like appearance well—honestly, it was kind of adorable.

"…Whew. Alright, that works. Then, as they say, mountains and rivers may part us, but we'll meet again someday?"

Steven smiled, enjoying the wuxia-drama-like tone of their conversation. He decided not to bother discussing any reward for saving her. After all, you can't buy happiness—and he simply didn't feel like haggling over such a small matter.

Just as he was about to leave the scene and hand things over to the Lungmen Guard Department that would likely arrive soon, Waai Fu tugged awkwardly at the corner of his clothes.

"Um… Hero of Justice, I have one more request. May I ask you to enlighten me?"

"Speak freely."

"Well… Hero, do you accept disciples? If you don't yet have a successor… what do you think of me?"

Summoning her courage, Waai Fu recommended herself. Her golden eyes were filled with eager anticipation.
