Chapter 102 - Chapter 102: Weapon Intelligence

Zhang Yi and Uncle You wandered around outside, casually collecting supplies.

As they chatted, the conversation shifted to the current situation in the neighborhood.

Uncle You asked Zhang Yi, "Some people are planning to make a move against you. They're envious of that snowmobile you have! I'm afraid things might get more complicated. Do you have any plans?"

It was rare for Zhang Yi to have a conversation with Uncle You.

Hearing the question, Zhang Yi smiled bitterly and said, "You're asking me? I was about to ask you the same thing!"

He sighed deeply. "Everyone's got their eyes on my snowmobile now. They know it's the only way to get around in these conditions. Everyone wants to take it from me. What can I do? I'll just have to protect it as best as I can—and protect myself too, of course."

Uncle You nodded gravely.

"You're right. Given the situation, you're already doing all you can to look out for the people close to you. Taking care of the entire neighborhood, with over a thousand people? That's impossible!"

Zhang Yi nodded. "Exactly. So for now, I can only take it one step at a time and figure things out as we go."

After thinking for a moment, Uncle You said, "Actually, this morning, Huang Tianfang contacted me."

Zhang Yi's clear eyes instantly sharpened.

"What did he want?"

Uncle You, not noticing Zhang Yi's change in expression, continued, "Huang Tianfang has been scared off by you. He wants to negotiate peace. He also mentioned something important: people in other apartment buildings are starting to form alliances. They're planning to put pressure on you. Someone invited him to join, but he said he wouldn't join them—if you provide him with food and cold-weather supplies."

Zhang Yi let out an "Oh."

He had heard this demand so many times by now that it was wearing on his ears. It was nothing unexpected.

"Seems like everyone's trying to get at me now. How terrifying!" Zhang Yi's tone sounded self-deprecating, but there was no fear in his eyes.

If it weren't for the issue of running out of ammo, given enough time, he could wipe out the entire neighborhood if he had to! Of course, he preferred to take things more slowly and safely.

"But as for that bastard Huang Tianfang, I'm definitely going to take him down!" Zhang Yi added calmly. "His gang, the Tianhe Gang, and that other group, the Wild Wolf Gang—I won't let any of them go!"

Zhang Yi's voice was casual, as if he were talking about something insignificant, but there was a chilling undertone of lethal intent.

They had attacked him first, so Zhang Yi had no choice but to ensure their demise. In this post-apocalyptic world, to survive, he couldn't allow any threats to his safety to exist.

Uncle You nodded. "They deserve it. They've killed too many innocent people, and they attacked you unprovoked. But the question is, do you have enough weapons to take them on right now?"

After raiding the police station's armory, Zhang Yi had acquired a significant stockpile of weapons and ammunition. But Uncle You wasn't sure about the exact amount. He only knew that when Zhang Yi returned, he didn't seem to be carrying much.

So Uncle You assumed that after the past few days of fighting, Zhang Yi's supply of bullets must be running low.

A gleam flashed in Zhang Yi's eyes, but he sighed dramatically.

"It is a bit of a challenge. I don't have many bullets left. But as long as it's not a large-scale battle, I should be able to manage."

Uncle You scratched his head.

"Zhang Yi, if we had enough weapons, do you think we could protect ourselves and your snowmobile?"

This sudden question made Zhang Yi's eyes light up with excitement.

"Uncle You, do you know where we can find more weapons?"

Zhang Yi still had plenty of weapons, but he was short on sniper bullets.

After all, even the police station didn't store large quantities of sniper rounds, and he had only found one sniper rifle.

And of course, more weapons and ammunition were always welcome.

All fear comes from a lack of firepower!

Uncle You grinned, looking a bit proud.

"Did you forget what I used to do? I was in the military for five years!"

Zhang Yi asked eagerly, "Were you stationed in Tianhai City?"

If that were the case, Uncle You could take him to the local military base to gather weapons.

Uncle You replied, "No, I served a while back, not in Tianhai City. But I do have old comrades there. I know where the military base is."

"If we can get there and find their stockpile of ammunition, you'll never have to worry about running out of bullets again."

He looked at Zhang Yi with admiration. "For someone with your marksmanship, not having enough ammo would be such a waste of talent!"

In the military, they always respected strength, and a sharpshooter was revered like a god by the soldiers.

Having witnessed Zhang Yi's terrifying accuracy with a gun, Uncle You naturally admired him.

Zhang Yi was thrilled—he hadn't expected such a valuable lead!

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's head there right away!"

There were so many powerful weapons in the military! If he could get his hands on a tank or an armored vehicle, he could wipe out anyone who dared to oppose him!

At that point, who would dare challenge Zhang Yi?

Uncle You, you're a real gem!

Zhang Yi's eyes were practically glowing.

Uncle You scratched his head, feeling a little embarrassed at Zhang Yi's excitement.

"Hold on, don't get too excited yet. I haven't finished explaining."

"The place is pretty far. It's in the northwest of the city, more than 100 kilometers from here."

"And even though I know there's a military base there, don't get your hopes up too high. With all this snow, finding the exact location won't be easy."

"Even if we get there, it's possible everything's buried under the snow."

The military base was on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by farmland and open land. After so much snow, it would be hard to pinpoint the location.

Zhang Yi calmed down and asked seriously, "Can you figure out the location if we spend enough time searching?"

Uncle You nodded. "I'm pretty familiar with the area. There aren't any tall buildings around, but there are six-story shopfronts we can use as landmarks. If we search carefully, we should be able to find it."

"My only concern is that the base might be buried under the snow, and if that's the case, we won't be able to dig it out."

Zhang Yi smiled mysteriously.

Digging? That was something he knew well.

"No worries. At the very least, let's find the place. If we figure out a way to dig it up later, we'll be ready."

He turned serious and patted Uncle You on the shoulder. "The enemies we're facing could be numerous. We need more weapons to protect ourselves and our families."

Uncle You nodded firmly.

"You're right. Let's go find it!"

The two of them got on the snowmobile and, braving the cold and snow, set off for the northwest of Tianhai City.
