In a mansion, in a dimly lit room, Caius could be seen walking in from the kitchen with a mug in his hand. Steam rose faintly from it, carrying the scent of ginger. He entered the room and made his way toward the king-sized bed placed in the middle.
There, a figure lay sprawled across the bed, breathing steadily. Caius sat carefully at the edge, his gaze softening for a moment before he sighed.
He reached out and tapped the figure lightly on the shoulder. "Jaden, I'm here with the hot ginger tea. You should drink it now while it's still warm," he said in a low but firm tone.
His words managed to stir the figure awake. Jaden shifted slightly before sitting up, his movements slow and heavy. He rested his back against the headboard and squeezed his eyes shut for a few seconds. When he finally opened them fully, he saw Caius sitting there. A faint smile touched his lips.
