Chapter 157 - Phiniron family

Because I had never come into contact with members of the Phiniron family, I couldn't use bloodline coordinates to locate them and had to personally head to the address mentioned by the third son. That was on the far side of a distant continent. Since Kui Yi had never been to other continents, I had her get me a world map. Using the map's directions, I pinpointed the approximate coordinates, then took Kui Yi and flew toward the opposite shore of the sea. Though Kui Yi was once again astonished, she gradually grew accustomed to it—in her eyes, there seemed to be no miracle I couldn't perform. After a brief burst of high-speed flight, we arrived at the continental region where the Phiniron family was located. We then entered a city that somewhat resembled foreign countries on Earth. Though the races were slightly different, the language spoken was the same—it seemed the languages on this planet had been unified. We asked passersby for directions to the address the third son had described and roughly figured out the way. It was, once again, in a private area, still a long distance from here. I continued flying with Kui Yi, and soon we reached this private estate, nestled in a secluded forest. ("Do all these families like to keep a low profile and stay hidden?") I mused as I descended. Drawing from my previous family visit experience, I directly used life-breath detection on the entire forest—every corner and every person was crystal clear. After scouting the layout, I still used invisibility to sneak in, passing through the forest area and continuing on foot along the driveway. The whole way was like entering an uninhabited realm. Soon, we reached the massive mansion in the center of the forest. This was another opulent building—it seemed all five great families were existences rich enough to rival nations, no doubt having plundered plenty of the people's fat and marrow. This time, I decided to open with overwhelming strength to force their submission, no more haggling.I had just used x-ray vision to scan the entire building but didn't spot anyone resembling the family head. There were only some security personnel and servants moving about inside. Had I come at a bad time? I decided to grab someone and pry for information. After entering the building, I released my invisibility and used mind control on one of the security guards. "Where did your family head go?" I asked."Lord Kenka has taken guests to the Earth Hall~" the guard obediently replied."Earth Hall? Where is it?" I pressed."Go straight to the right of the main residence; there's a cave entrance—that's it. We outer personnel aren't allowed in, so I don't know the details~" the guard answered, trembling."Fine, go back to your work," I dismissed him with a wave. "That cave might have traps—stay close to me later and don't touch anything randomly," I told Kui Yi."Understood, Mr. White," Kui Yi nodded.I led her toward the cave. After leaving the main residence and heading right, we soon saw a mountainous area. At the foot of the mountain was a cave mouth guarded by numerous security personnel—that had to be it. As usual, I used mind control; all the guards obediently stepped aside. After confirming from them that there were no traps in the tunnel, we entered without worry. Just inside was a staircase leading underground. After descending, we reached a platform resembling an elevator. Was there a mine or something down below? Puzzled, Kui Yi and I boarded the elevator and descended. After a short transport, the elevator stopped. We emerged into a spacious room, brightly lit all around—it didn't look like a mine. We walked a short distance along the passage, and the scene before us left us shocked. On both sides of the corridor were massive glass walls, behind which many young girls in tattered clothes were imprisoned. They stared at us blankly, their eyes devoid of any desire to live. "Could this be a human trafficking den?" Rage began to boil in my heart. Kui Yi looked at them and couldn't help recalling her own past, her expression tinged with sorrow. The passage continued deeper inward. I quickened my pace, eager to meet the family head and give him a taste of his own medicine. Finally, we reached what seemed like the end: a metal double door ahead, equipped with an electronic keypad lock—it wouldn't be easy to enter. Just then, faint cries of pain came from inside; something unforgivable was surely happening. Pulling Kui Yi along, I decisively used the Phasing Divine Art to pass straight through the door.
