Chapter 107 - intermittent pain

"So, Brother White has been through so many hardships; it must have been tough for you. This Sister Enis is indeed very beautiful and elegant. Brother White, you have great taste," Bona said helplessly. Enis took Bona's hand and said, "White has always been thinking of you while in the Demon Realm, mentioning you constantly, which made me quite jealous. Today, I finally get to have a good chat with you." Bona looked at me shyly, pulling Enis toward the stairs. "Sister Enis, let's go upstairs and talk slowly. I want to hear about the Demon Realm~" With that, she and Enis went upstairs together."This girl can get shy too, haha," Bona's father laughed. I went out to work in the fields with her father. It's rare for me to come back, so I couldn't just sit around without helping. Thankfully, I kept up the habit of farming in the Demon Realm, so I was still adept in the fields. "While you were gone, the village has been relatively peaceful. The demon army seemed to head straight for the capital and didn't attack the village," Bona's father said while planting rice. "Back in the Demon Realm, I was struggling to survive. If I hadn't met Enis, I'd probably be dead under some demon beast's claws by now. Now, as the spokesperson for the Demon Realm, I'll take better care of the village in the future, ensuring the demons don't harass this place so everyone can live in peace," I replied. "The young, naive lad from back then has now become a leader in his own right," Bona's father praised, patting my shoulder. "You're too kind, Uncle. It's all just a matter of chance," I replied, a bit embarrassed. We chatted and worked in the fields, everything as peaceful and beautiful as it once was. Suddenly, my heart twitched, a faint pain surging through me, and my head felt dizzy. What was going on? I could feel The power of the universe churning inside me, an explosive sensation surging from within, making me extremely uncomfortable. I couldn't help but collapse to my knees. "Ugh…" I clutched my chest in pain. Seeing this, Bona's father rushed over to check on me. "What's wrong, White? Are you feeling unwell?" he asked, supporting me. "Sorry, I don't know why, but my chest is throbbing," I said, struggling to stand up again. After taking a few breaths, the pain slowly faded, and my body gradually recovered. (What's going on? This has never happened before,) I thought, massaging my chest. "Let me help you back home to rest," Bona's father said, supporting me. "Sorry for the trouble, Uncle," I said as we slowly walked back, his arm around my shoulder."Yilan, get a glass of water for White; he's feeling unwell," Bona's father called out to Bona's mother, who was hanging clothes outside. With his help, I returned to the house. "Here, drink some water. What happened to you?" Bona's mother asked, handing me a cup and expressing concern. "Sorry, Auntie, I suddenly felt unwell. I should be fine after resting a bit," I replied. At that moment, Enis and Bona came downstairs, laughing and chatting. "Why is everyone here?" Bona asked. "White felt unwell while working in the fields with me, so I brought him back to rest," Bona's father explained. "Honey, what's wrong? Let me take a look," Enis said, hurrying over. "Brother White, how are you feeling? Where does it hurt? Let me massage it for you," Bona asked anxiously. "I'm fine now, much better. Maybe my body's just gotten rusty from not working for a while," I reassured them. With their massages, my body felt much better, the chest pain and weakness fading. "Thank you both, I'm okay now," I said, standing up quickly to prove I was fine, so they wouldn't worry. "Dad, Brother White rarely comes back; don't make him work in the fields with you," Bona scolded her father. "No, no, it's not that. I insisted on helping since I had nothing else to do. How can you blame Uncle?" I quickly defended him. "Fair enough, I was careless. White, stay at the house then. Don't go anywhere today; both of you stay for lunch," Bona's father said, a bit embarrassed."Alright, I'll follow Uncle's plan and stay for lunch. But I can't just sit around doing nothing—I'm recovered now, so let me go back to the fields with you," I said. Bona's father couldn't argue with me and reluctantly agreed. "Then I'll go with Brother White too, so I can keep an eye on him~" Bona said, smiling and grabbing my hand. "What about you, honey? Why don't you stay and help Auntie in the kitchen?" I said to Enis. "Sure, honey, I'll go help Auntie in the kitchen," Enis agreed cheerfully. "Having such a wonderful and beautiful girl help me is such an honor," Bona's mother said, beaming with joy. (If they knew Enis is far older than them, they'd be shocked,) I thought, giving a wry smile.
