Chapter 69 - Chapter 69- Beyond Shock

Li Wei's single strike had an effect on the fleshy giant akin to eviscerating it.

The cyclones unleashed within it, mingled with demonic forces, caused extremely terrifying damage. Practically all of the internal organs within half of the fleshy giant's body had been shredded into pieces by the fierce winds and demonic energy, and cast out along with the massive wound.

In the span of one or two seconds when the tornado erupted, the giant made of blood and flesh had almost lost one-third of the blood in its body, as well as half of its internal organs.

If the monster had been in its prime, perhaps it could have relied on its formidable defense and vitality to withstand the damage inflicted by Li Wei, and not end up so miserably. However, although the flesh giant was once renowned for its vitality, such injuries far exceeded its tolerance.

Its miserable and tattered body slowly collapsed to the ground. The flesh giant was not yet dead, with a last breath remaining. Its body twitched on the ground, gasping through its mouth and nose, struggling with a last trace of stubborn vitality, but death was inevitable.

A hammer smashed onto its skull, flattening its face; another blow thoroughly killed the dying monster.

It was Wilde who took action. He stood up and said, "Monsters are better off being completely killed."

Lee gave a bitter smile, raised his hand, and said, "I'm out of strength..."

With a big laugh, Wilde put away his war hammer, pulled Lee up, and said, "Let's meet. My name is Wilde, and you are a hunter from the Clover Guild, right? You're amazing."

  "I'm Lee."

"Are you Lee?" Zheng Zaishun, who was beside Wilde and had just come over, said incredulously.

Lee recognized Zheng Zaishun's voice as the one who had said something inappropriate on the communicator.

He didn't plan to fuss over it, nor would he be enthusiastic. He just gave a faint smile as a response.

On the contrary, Zheng Zaishun was extremely embarrassed at the moment, blaming Wils in his heart.

Hadn't Wils told him that Lee was a person who had not even completed the extreme tempering, how could he have spoken without thinking at that time?

Judging by now, the stunning shot that Li Wei fired to break the machine gun on the back of the flesh giant, as well as the slash just now that combined the power of wind and darkness, are incredibly astonishing forces.

Let alone the extreme level, even among the four of them who unlocked their genes and were attacking this flesh giant together, who can make such a beautiful attack?

This destructive power is definitely at the limit of the first development level. Even many skills at the second development level may not reach this level.

Zheng Zaishun is very regretful now. He thinks carefully, thinking about any way to mitigate the relationship as much as possible.

Bandrui, Qian Long, and Cai Yutong came over from not far away.

Cai Yutong asked, "This is your ability to kill that huge mutated centipede in one move, right?"

  "Well, yes."

Cai Yutong said with a wry smile, "Sure enough, it's still as strong as ever."

Bandry and Qian Long had returned to the guild ahead of time and were unaware of that incident, so they asked about it.

After Cai Yutong explained to them, Bandry said, "I'm a bit regretful now. I accompanied Old Qian back to the guild for nothing, and the monsters around the guild had been cleared up at that time. If I had known that you could encounter a massive irradiated centipede, I would have gone with you. I could have easily gained some achievements without doing anything, tut-tut..."

Of course, this was said in jest, but the amazement in his heart was genuine.

Previously, if Cai Yutong claimed that she and Li Wei alone defeated a massive centipede that also transcended the limit level and could challenge a level higher, he would not have believed it, even if the monster's modification had failed. The gap between the levels of the two was too great.

However, when he now saw the power possessed by Li Wei with his own eyes, there was nothing left not to believe.

If it can be said that everyone was expressing surprise and admiration for the power that Levi had demonstrated, then Welz, who stood aside without joining the discussion, could best be described as being in turmoil.

He looked at Levi, surrounded by a crowd, with a complex expression, full of incredulity.

In the past, among his peers in the Clover Witching Guild, no one but Kaira Tong was regarded by him. Welz was a person with towering ambitions. That was precisely why, for Kaira Tong who always surpassed him, he felt jealousy and always followed her, stealing her targets and missions.

It was not for the rewards of the missions. For someone like Welz who came from a demon-hunting family, the rewards from low-level tasks were not even as much as his pocket money. What he did was to become annoying, to prove to Kaira Tong and the others in the guild that he was not inferior to her.

It was this reckless behavior that led to irreversible consequences. As a result, Wells has been suffering agony these days, feeling regret for his past obsession, jealousy, and foolishness.

And now, when he truly witnessed Li Wei's power, he felt even more that his previous self was extremely ridiculous.

What's the point of arguing and fighting for that breath? Look up and you'll see, less than a month ago, Li Wei's maximum tempering was not even completed, yet he could already overturn himself.

And now, he can only be here slaughtering miscellaneous small monsters with Cai Yutong, while the other party? The monster who resisted the attacks of four experts who activated the genetic lock for so long was directly killed by his knife.

No matter how Li Wei did it, or how other comrades and companions created opportunities for him, if it were Wells, he would never be able to complete the final blow in the same situation.

This signifies that Li Wei has already surpassed himself by a whole level.

Wells was deeply struck, not even knowing how to accept this reality.

Watching Li Wei, surrounded by people as if he were a hero, Wells feels like he is a complete loser.

He is a failure as a competitor, as a friend, and even as a human being.

In a daze, he took a few steps backward, tripping over a corpse lying on the ground and almost fell.

Staggering, Wells walked away into the distance, his eyes filled with confusion.

Hearing the commotion from here, Li Wei and others turned their heads.

"What's wrong with Wells?" Cheng Zaishun, who came from the Iron Cross Avenue branch, couldn't figure out what had happened at all.

"Ah..." As the person who had the most contact with Wells, Cai Yutong vaguely guessed what he was thinking. She could only sigh, unsure of what to say.
