Damon stood silently for a long moment before he turned and started walking away from the small shop.
Sure, killing the guy would give him an immediate bump. It could even push his bloodline a step closer to completion and might make him even more ridiculously overpowered.
But he did not want to do that.
The tiny droplet of blood hovering beside him slowly dissolved back into his body as he stepped out of the bakery. The warm smell of bread faded behind him. The door creaked softly as it swung shut.
Inside, the baker continued laughing with his daughter, completely unaware that death itself had stood a few steps behind him just moments ago.
Damon walked down the narrow street in silence.
"Are you going to leave him just like that? Why?" Blood Reign's panicked voice chimed in.
"Why? Because I want to. That's what I feel like doing right now." Damon simply answered.
