Kate and Damon were once again teleported back into the game world, the flicker of system light fading as the familiar atmosphere of Earth Online surrounded them. Her feet barely touched the ground before she staggered slightly, clutching her waist with a wince.
"I can't believe we did that for an entire log-out session," she gasped, still half dazed, though the mana around them made her feel a lot better. Her eyes swept the horizon, widening as she realized just how much had changed in their absence.
The merpeople had done a wonderful job of clearing up all of the blood and gore and restoring the seashore to its earlier scenic state. Moreover, it looked like they were all packing up.
"Huh? Where are they going?" Kate asked.
"They are moving closer to the portal so that they can keep an eye on things."
