That was the rule. One Damon had learned the hard way, watching a proud guild get obliterated in under thirty seconds by a single mid-tier combat drone during a world event. Unlike beasts or undead or even elemental spirits, mechs didn't care about fear, intimidation, or death. They were precision, speed, and death wrapped in alloys and cold logic.
Also, don't go to a mech fight without a lightning element mage.
