Chapter 76 - Chapter 74

Inside Professor X's school for gifted youngsters, things were... normal. Or, at least as normal as they got in a school filled with kids who could sneeze holes through walls.

But suddenly, Professor X froze mid-lecture like someone just unplugged his brain.

The students looked at each other, confused. One brave soul whispered, "Uhh... did the Professor just glitch?"

Storm, standing near the window like a weather-themed superheroine she was, stepped forward. "Professor, what is it?"

Now, Storm wasn't someone you ignored. With her white hair, leather outfit, and general "don't mess with me" aura, she looked like she could summon a hurricane just by raising an eyebrow.

After a tense pause, Professor X finally spoke. "There's... something coming. And I can't read it."

Storm raised an eyebrow. "Like, psychic blind spot?"

"Yes. And it's huge."

Storm's eyes narrowed. "I'll sound the alarm."

Seconds later, red lights flashed, a siren wailed, and kids started rushing to the underground bunker like it was fire drill day—except this time, the fire might be throwing meteors.

Outside, Storm launched into the sky, clouds swirling as thunder boomed around her. "Let's see who dares come to the school."

Meanwhile, in a completely different scene that was about to become very relevant...

Lin Fan stepped through a glowing portal with his crew—Psylocke and the seven members of Hellfire.

He looked around casually, hands in pockets. "Smells like rain. That's not ominous at all."

Psylocke glanced toward the sky, where angry clouds rumbled like a very annoyed god. "Looks like someone didn't want us to teleport directly in."

Lin Fan grinned. "Well, if they don't like guests using the front door... we'll make our own."

With zero warning or regard for geological safety, Lin Fan slammed his hand on the ground.

CRACK.

The earth trembled like it had just stubbed its toe. A whole mountain split in two.

"Whoa, careful, man!" yelled one of the Hellfire Seven. "We're standing on that!"

"Yup," Lin Fan said with a grin. "Now we're flying on it."

He punched the mountain chunk skyward, turning it into a missile. The crew surfed the mountain like it was just another Tuesday.

Back at the X-Mansion...

The X-Men had assembled like it was the final act of a superhero movie. Cyclops adjusted his visor. Wolverine chewed his cigar like it owed him money.

"What's up?" Wolverine growled. "Magneto again?"

"Nope. Something... weirder," Cyclops said.

Then they saw it.

A giant floating piece of mountain was flying at them like an angry pizza delivery.

"Okay WHAT—" someone shouted.

"Shoot it!" Cyclops yelled.

PEW-BOOM-ZAP-BOOM.

Laser beams. Thunderbolts. Explosions. It was like a fireworks show, except the fireworks were angry and very real.

Finally, the mountain exploded mid-air into a shower of rocks and confused birds. But as the dust settled, figures dropped from the sky like action movie heroes.

Leading them: Lin Fan.

He brushed some dust off his shoulder, grinning. "Sup."

Behind him, Psylocke muttered, "Maybe next time we walk."

Lin Fan's gaze scanned the crowd of mutants until it landed on a woman with long red hair.

Jean Grey.

Bingo.

But before Lin Fan could say anything creepy (or charming, depending on your perspective), Professor X rolled forward, aura pulsing.

"Young man, you are not welcome here."

Lin Fan tilted his head. "But I brought a mountain! That's more than most guests bring."

"Leave," Professor X said, his voice echoing psychically like God with a migraine.

Lin Fan sighed, scratching his head. "Man, bald guys are scary. First the Ancient One, now you. Is this a club or something?"

Jean Grey blinked in confusion. "Do I... know him?"

Lin Fan smiled, his voice sliding into her mind like a song lyric you can't forget. "Hey, Jean."

Jean shivered. Not from fear. But from something else—something powerful.

Whatever this guy was, he wasn't normal.

And things were about to get very, very weird.
