Although Hill was naturally clumsy, she wasn't foolish. She knew perfectly well that her mission was extremely important and could not be neglected.
And so, Hill stood by the door, and when she felt enough time had passed, she pushed it open and entered.
Inside, Sayuri, who was just preparing to steep some tea and make snacks, heard the commotion. She turned to look, observing Hill with a mix of surprise and caution, her tone not particularly polite:
"What do you want?"
Hill, true to her consistently ditzy and light-hearted demeanor, replied:
"Oh, it's like this. The three of us wanted some tea and snacks, so they asked me to prepare them."
After a few days of interaction, Sayuri had gotten to know this Night Raid trio somewhat. Her impression of Hill was quite deep: a classic ditzy girl with glasses, who would quietly read a book by herself when she had nothing to do. At first glance, she didn't seem like a killer at all; she looked more like a quiet young girl.
Because of this, Sayuri showed Hill a bit more patience and kindness. She said to Hill:
"There are clean teacups and a teapot in the cabinet. Black tea and such are on the second shelf. If you want to make tea, you'll need to boil water yourself. Some small, delicate items are on the bottom shelf."
"Mm, thank you..."
The two exchanged a few simple words like that, and soon Sayuri no longer paid attention to Hill, returning to her own work.
Hill looked at Sayuri's retreating back, then turned her back to Sayuri and began her task at the counter.
However, Hill, this natural klutz, was someone with a muddled personality who couldn't even manage basic housework!
Hill, following the method she knew, opened the cabinet door and took out the teapot and teacups. The teapot was placed safely on the table, and she then proceeded to get three more teacups.
Originally, the teacups were held firmly and steadily in Hill's hand. However, as if gravity had suddenly intensified, the teacups in Hill's hand slipped and fell for a reason even God couldn't comprehend!
The crisp sound of shattering porcelain made Sayuri, who had just left not far away, virtually jump in surprise!
Sayuri turned around and saw the shattered teacup fragments on the floor, and Hill standing beside them, completely at a loss.
Hill's panicked reaction was utterly genuine, straight from her heart. She looked at Sayuri and hastily bowed:
"I'm truly... terribly sorry!"
A drop of cold sweat trickled down her forehead. Sayuri said helplessly:
"Please, try to be a little more careful..."
"Uh... yes..."
Sayuri turned her head, resuming her work.
Hill secretly sighed in relief, then squatted down to clean up the shattered teacup fragments on the floor, carefully lifting them and tossing them into the nearby trash can.
She stood up again, looked at the counter in front of her, took a deep breath, firmed her gaze, and continued...
Having retrieved enough teacups, Hill began to heat water.
Fortunately, nothing went wrong during the water boiling process, and Hill's mood relaxed a little.
The water boiled, and next came pouring the hot water. At this point, as expected, something went wrong again. The steam from the freshly boiled hot water scalded Hill's hand, causing her to yelp, and then...
With a loud bang, Sayuri was startled, turning to look behind her.
A kettle lay on the floor, all its boiling water spilled out, still steaming. Hill's fingers were red, and she stood awkwardly to the side, fearfully glancing at Sayuri.
A large drop of cold sweat appeared on Sayuri's forehead. She couldn't help but retort:
"Please be careful, the water is very hot!"
"I'm... I'm sorry..."
Hill's tone was incredibly weak. Seeing Hill like this, Sayuri found it hard to say anything more and turned back to busy herself with her work.
Hill timidly picked up the kettle from the floor, then found a mop nearby, and frantically wiped the spilled water clean.
Helplessly, she continued to pour water, the klutz.
Fortunately, this time, nothing went wrong. She waited until the water boiled, and Hill poured out the hot water to steep the tea. The tea was almost ready, and there were no more mishaps.
Hill patted her chest, still feeling a lingering fear.
Right, there were also some snacks and similar items.
She squatted down, opened the lower cabinet, and searched inside for the snacks Sayuri had just mentioned.
After searching for a while, Hill successfully found some small biscuits. Her heart brightened, and she straightened up.
But she forgot that her head was still inside the cabinet!
With a loud thump, Hill hit her head on the cabinet as she straightened up, causing the counter above to wobble precariously. Consequently, the teapot, teacups, and other items on the counter desk all clattered down and shattered!
Tears welled in Hill's eyes. She pulled herself out of the cabinet, crouched to the side, covering the big, red bump on her head, and pitifully pouted while looking at the shattered teapot and teacup fragments scattered on the floor.
Sayuri watched all of this, her mouth twitching. Speechless for a moment, she finally said to Hill:
"You, you're not just a klutz, you're an idiot too!"
Hill pitifully pouted, offering no retort.
"Seriously, if you can't even do these things right, what can you do well?"
In response to Sayuri's question, Hill tapped her lower lip with her index finger. After a moment, she suddenly realized something and blurted out:
"I can still kill people!"
Black lines appeared all over Sayuri's head...
Looking at the scattered fragments of teacups and teapots all over the floor, Sayuri was truly helpless. She turned to look at the snacks in the oven; it would still take quite some time for them to bake properly. Sayuri rolled up her sleeves and said to Hill:
"Forget it, I'll help you!"
"Thank you..."
In stark contrast to the clumsy Hill, Sayuri nimbly began cleaning up the shattered teacups and teapot fragments from the floor. To avoid causing Sayuri any further trouble, Hill could only stand by awkwardly, watching.
Just then, something happened outside the window.
A slender rope suspended the petite Mine, slowly lowering her from above the window. She hung directly in front of this second-floor window.
Hill naturally noticed this, yet her expression remained completely unperturbed. Sayuri, who was cleaning with her back to the window, didn't notice at all.
Outside, Mine began to act. Hanging in front of the window, which happened to be open, Mine, still suspended, painstakingly extended about half of her body inside, reaching her hand towards the snacks Sayuri had prepared for Uchiha Madara.
