Chapter 16 - The Trial of the Forsaken Trinity

Previously onRenaissance:

Krisian's perfect plan collapsed.

The trials meant to awaken the powers of MG and Michael instead triggered catastrophe — the Gate of Forsaken Oaths was opened, and the newly united members of the Onyx and Celestial Courts vanished without a trace. Only Krisian and Sillax remained.

Haunted by failure and betrayed by someone he once trusted, Krisian broke. For the first time, the leader considered giving up.

But in the depths of that despair, Sillax reminded him why he was chosen — not because of his power, but because of his resolve to fight the evil others ignored. She gave him a reason to stand again.

Now, with his fury sharpened and his purpose reforged, Krisian remembers the truth: Kael betrayed him. The Gate was opened not by chance, but by a whisper to the wrong ears.

And while Zeref rebuilds the Celestial Court, and Mikason stands ready for war, Krisian prepares to face something even more dangerous…

The Seraphon. The Forsaken Trinity.A test not just of strength, but of will.

And he's not just walking into a trial—

He's walking in with a plan.

At Dawn – The Gathering of the Celestial Court

The sun had barely touched the horizon when Krisian stepped onto the stone balcony overlooking the high courtyard. His cloak billowed gently in the morning wind. Below him, rows of warriors, mages, and descendants — all brought together by Zeref — stood in orderly silence.

Krisian turned to Sillax beside him. His voice was steady, but low.

"Prepare everyone Zeref brought. I want to speak to the entire Celestial Court."

Sillax gave a small nod and left without a word.

Moments later, the courtyard was filled — every face turned upward as Krisian walked forward, and Zeref stepped out to greet him.

"I'm happy to see you again," Krisian said, and Zeref gave a respectful bow.

Then Krisian turned to face the crowd.

He hadn't spoken yet — but before a single word left his lips, the entire Celestial Court dropped to one knee.

Voices rose in unison, ringing across the mountaintop:

"Long live Krisian!"

His eyes widened for a breath — then he nodded, raising a hand.

"Please, stand."

He paused, gathering his thoughts as silence fell once more.

"I'm sorry I haven't spoken to many of you properly. There was no time. And now…"His voice lowered. "…something terrible has happened."

The crowd tensed.

"Our enemy, the one we fight from the shadows — they've struck us. They infiltrated our campaign and tore away some of our finest."

Krisian's golden gaze scanned the crowd, burning with both grief and fire.

"But I promise you this — we will get them back.""Because here, we are not just warriors. We are a family. And family never leaves each other behind."

A murmur of agreement spread through the crowd.

"What lies ahead is not an easy trial. It is not a battle of blades or armies. It is a test of spirit, of unity. We are going to face something terrible."

He stepped forward.

"The being is called Seraphon."

Confusion flickered across some faces. Others froze in recognition.

Krisian continued:

"For those who don't know… Seraphon was once a celestial experiment — created by ancient forces to unify the powers of Heaven, Hell, and Divinity into one perfect being."

He let that sink in.

"He was born from the Light of the First Star, the Flame of the Abyss, and the Breath of the Creator."

"But the balance failed."

"His soul was split — caught in endless conflict — rejected by Heaven, cursed by Hell, and abandoned by the gods."

As tension rippled through the assembly, Zeref stepped forward to speak.

"Seraphon is not invincible," Zeref said clearly. "His power is unmatched… but it is also unstable. His body contains three essences — divine, demonic, and celestial. When they clash internally, his control slips."

"His weakness is himself. If we can trigger a surge of imbalance — through emotional triggers, overwhelming magic of one nature, or direct assault on his sealed cores — he will begin to fracture."

He looked at the warriors around him.

"But remember: we are going to save, not to lose."

"This is a mission of rescue and survival. If you feel unready… please. Stay behind."

Sillax stepped up beside Zeref and added firmly:

"This is not about pride or power. It's about protecting each other. The gate opens at dusk. We leave together — or not at all."

The crowd stood silent, but their eyes burned with purpose.

And above them, the sun rose fully — a new day, a new trial
