A/N: Have been extremely busy. Let me know what needs to be changed for this fight scene. I make improvements and incorporate them in the future.
The sea churned as the Three-Tail roar rolled across the battlefield, and Mist shinobi braced themselves against the decks.
But Mito did not flinch.
Her hair lifted behind her in the storm winds as she watched the colossal beast with detached calmness.
Around her, the last remnants of her sealing chains connected to her summons faded into motes of light. One by one, the shadows tethered to her snapped free, dissolving as the swelling red chakra gathered around her body.
The air distorted.
The sea hissed.
And the chakra thickened—boiling, bubbling, writhing like living heat—as it coiled around her limbs and spine. It spiraled upward in a spiraling column, then burst outward in a violent flare that sent shockwaves rippling across the water.
Her eyes gleamed as the chakra behind her rippled, then stretched.
A tail.
Then another.
And then a third.
The silhouette sharpened, the red aura condensing into fur-like texture, ear shapes rising from the swirling mass atop her head. The fox form curled before its jaws opened in a silent, spectral snarl aimed at the Tailed Beast before it.
The storm froze.
For one impossible heartbeat, the ocean itself seemed to forget how to move.
Lightning illuminated Mito's silhouette as three blazing crimson tails unfurled behind her—each one formed of roiling, corrosive chakra.
Gasps rippled through what remained of the Mist fleet.
"That's—"
"No way—"
"Impossible… the Nine-Tails' chakra—?!"
Isobu's colossal eye widened—recognition trembling in that monstrous pupil.
The fox-shaped Mito leaned forward. Even without sound, the pressure was crushing—an oppressive killing intent that rippled through the atmosphere like a scream trapped behind glass.
Mito exhaled slowly.
Her three tails arched behind her, each one dripping crimson embers that hissed as they touched the water. The ocean recoiled from her, forming a shallow crater beneath her feet, the surface pushed away in a ring of spiraling ripples.
Yagura's breath hitched, the color draining from his face.
"W-wh-why is the nine-tail doing here?! It is already absurd how a dead person is alive again, but now this?!"
Mito turned her head just slightly—just enough for one glowing, fox-lit eye to fall on Yagura.
The effect was immediate.
Yagura stumbled back a full step, as if that single glance weighed as much as the ocean itself.
Isobu recovered first.
A tremor ran through the sea as the Three-Tails' massive body shifted, its shell grinding like tectonic plates.
Isobu roared.
Water exploded upward in a spiraling column, the force so tremendous that the Mist ships closest to the beast nearly capsized. Masts snapped. Decks split. Shinobi screamed as the shockwave swept them into the churning sea.
Mito did not move.
Her three spectral tails lashed behind her, sending ember-like flecks of red chakra hissing into the water.
Then—
Isobu charged.
The ocean parted before its massive body, its colossal form barreling forward like a living avalanche. The three tails trailed behind it, smashing through waves and launching sheets of water high into the air.
Mito lifted one hand.
The red chakra condensed, a violent whirl of crimson heat gathering around her palm.
As the Three-Tails' enormous head lunged toward her, she struck.
A fox-shaped blast erupted from her arm, snapping outward with blinding speed and detonating directly against Isobu's jaw. The explosion ripped the air apart, carving a tunnel of steam through the ocean.
Isobu reeled, its head snapping to the side, water geysering from the impact.
But the beast recovered instantly, its tails whipping through the water. One massive appendage surged upward like a tidal mountain—then crashed down toward Mito with enough force to crush a village.
Mito vanished.
A crimson flicker, then she reappeared above the crashing tail, cloak burning as if she were standing on a pillar of fire.
She twisted mid-air as her three spectral tails snapped forward, slamming down on Isobu's shell. A red shockwave burst outward in a perfect sphere, the pressure carving a crater into the ocean and sending plumes of water miles into the air.
Cracks spiderwebbed across Isobu's armored shell.
The Three-Tails roared again, this time in pain.
The sea writhed violently as the beast pulled chakra inward. The air grew heavy, thick, trembling. Mito's fox ears twitched.
A sphere of water and chakra formed in front of Isobu's mouth, swirling faster and faster, condensed to a terrifying density.
Yagura gasped.
"A Tailed Beast Bomb— at this range?! We'll all be—"
The sphere surged forward.
A beam of annihilation, tearing straight through the sea, vaporizing water, splitting the storm clouds above.
Mito didn't retreat.
Her three tails fanned behind her, forming a radiant barrier of swirling, incandescent red. She extended both hands and poured chakra into the tails—feeding them until the air itself screamed.
The two forces collided.
The explosion swallowed the horizon.
For a heartbeat, the world was nothing but white fire and the deafening roar of ocean and sky collapsing in on themselves.
Then slowly, shapes returned.
Mito slid backward across the water's surface, her heels carving molten trails through the steaming sea. The fox cloak flickered, but did not break.
Isobu slumped sideways in the distant waves, entire sections of its shell shattered, steam pouring from its wounds.
But its eye burned.
The sea rose before Isobu like a living mountain.
Waves towered upward until the ocean itself formed a vast vortex around the Tailed Beast. Its wounds steamed, but its chakra surged, the water churning violently as it absorbed more and more of the surrounding sea.
Mito's eyes narrowed.
Isobu wasn't preparing an attack.
It was entering a rampage state.
"Not good," she murmured.
A tremor rippled beneath her feet.
The vortex collapsed inward, and the entire ocean exploded.
A shockwave radiated from Isobu's body, pulverizing the surface of the sea into a frothing crater. Water slammed outward in all directions, bending ships like twigs, hurling shinobi into the depths.
The Three-Tails roared as it once again lunged toward Mito.
For a creature so massive, it moved impossibly fast, like a meteor hurtling through water. Its tails scythed outward, each one generating enough pressure to split the sea into colossal trenches.
Mito braced again as her three fox-tails fanned behind her.
As Isobu first tail swept toward her, she ducked.
The second followed immediately.
She twisted, chakra blasting from her palm to propel herself backward, but the third came from beneath, erupting through the water like a rising leviathan.
It caught her as the world spun with water, sky, and red light blurring together as she was hurled across the battlefield. She hit the sea with enough force to send up a geyser taller than a lighthouse.
Steam hissed violently around her. Pain lanced across her ribs but Mito's expression stayed calm.
The ocean shuddered as Isobu charged again, tearing through the maelstrom it had created. Its jaws yawned open with rows of jagged teeth glowing with condensed chakra.
It was aiming to bite her in half.
Mito thrust both hands forward as her three fox-tails lashed outward, elongating, thinning, twisting into chains of burning chakra. They snapped across the battlefield, spiraling around Isobu's approaching form and slamming into its limbs and tail.
The beast roared as the bindings tightened, scorching its flesh and anchoring it mid-charge.
"Got you," Mito whispered as she vanished in a streak of crimson light.
She reappeared on Isobu's shell, then its arm, then its tail.
In the span of a single heartbeat, she struck dozens of times. Palms glowing, tails whipping, chakra detonating in precise bursts.
Boom.
Boom.
Boom.
BOOM.
A final strike sent a shockwave rippling across Isobu's entire body, the force so concentrated that water vaporized around them in a dome of white mist.
Isobu buckled.
One knee sank beneath the waves.
But its gigantic eye burned brighter than ever.
The bindings snapped as shards of red chakra scattered like broken glass.
Isobu's roar swallowed the world.
A massive, spiraling sphere of water forms above the bony spikes of its shell. Larger than the previous Tailed Beast Ball.
Yagura, barely surviving on a broken raft, paled.
"THAT WILL ERASE THE ENTIRE COAST!"
Isobu roared and launched its final desperate attack. Its sheer pressure threatened to swallow Mito and what remained of the Mist fleet in one pulse.
Time slowed.
Mito's three tails flared brighter, extending, fusing into a singular mass of roiling, boiling chakra.
She met the Tailed Beast Ball head-on.
The collision was cataclysmic. Steam, fire, and water exploded in every direction. The storm above seemed to scream. The sea itself trembled beneath the force. For a heartbeat, the world was nothing but blinding white light.
Then the light receded.
Mito hovered above the cratered ocean, her fox form intact, her tails spinning like burning wheels.
Below, Isobu's massive body floated, shattered, the surface of its shell cracked and smoking. Its eye flickered with recognition and fear.
Mito descended slowly.
"It's over."
The Tailed Beast let out one final, gurgling roar, then sank beneath the waves, defeated but alive.
The storm began to die, waves slowly receding, leaving only a fractured, steaming sea and the faint glow of three spectral tails fading behind Mito.
Yagura, trembling, stared across the battlefield, utterly drained of words. "Haha. I am so dead."
