Alpha Killian looked at the girl whose gaze was neutral, unwavering, unsympathetic, and more importantly, unloving.
For a second, it was hard for him even to recognise the girl. Was she the same girl who would jump at any opportunity to be close to him and help him?
It was becoming increasingly clear to him that she wasn't in love with him anymore, that she wasn't aiming to become his wife, and that she no longer craved his love and attention. The realization bit him, hurting him slowly.
He took a deep, shaky breath when he looked at his beta's pleading eyes.
"What conditions?" He asked.
Amelia looked around before pointing to a random woman from his pack.
"Only she will be in the room with me when I treat Caroline. I am allowing her because I don't want you guys to blame me if anything happens. She would be my alibi that I did everything with pure intentions of saving her. No one, and I mean no one, will be allowed to enter. Is that okay?" She asked.
