Chapter 109 - The Reckless Act of a Fiancé

Reiner shrugged Void's hand off his arm, eyes darting down the hallway. Ophelia was gone. Just cold air and silence left behind.

He stepped toward the door she'd enchanted earlier, moving slow, cautious. His fingers brushed the wood, searching for anything, any trace. But it felt dead. No hum, no lingering energy. Like the magic had just vanished.

"What the hell was that?" he asked finally, his voice low, curious, but laced with unease.

Void stood beside him, staring at the door like it might answer. His face mirrored Reiner's confusion. He shook his head slowly, then raised his hand, mimicking Reiner's motion. His palm hovered inches from the surface, feeling for something in the thin air, some echo of the spell.

"Seal magic," he muttered at last, voice heavy, like the words weighed more than they should.

"A seal?" Reiner frowned, fingers still pressed to the door. "Why would Ophelia do that?"
