Mount Myōboku.

Naruto sat cross-legged on a Steel Gate, beneath which were sharp stone pillars.

A year of training had brought some progress, but Mount Myōboku's stone slabs were consistently insufficient. Naruto had no choice but to use items from the shop as a temporary solution.

The Steel Gate, the highest-defense door in the game, was one meter wide, one and a half meters high, and about four centimeters thick. It was much thicker than an iron pot, allowing Naruto to sit on it with peace of mind. Other materials were too soft; the sharp tops of the stone pillars would pierce right through them, and sitting on them would practically guarantee a trip to the Konoha Anal and Intestinal Department.

Naruto's Sage Mode training was a bit slow, but he wasn't the most anxious. The most anxious was Fukasaku Sage. He was so worried about Naruto's Sage Mode training that he was pulling out his eyebrows.

How could he not be worried?

First, this child wreaked havoc on the floor tiles. Later, after he brought out the Steel Gate, the floor tiles were spared. Just as Fukasaku Sage breathed a sigh of relief, he started tormenting Mount Myōboku's Toad Oil. This special oil was limited. Although Mount Myōboku's Toad Oil appeared to be a waterfall, it was a circulatory system; the oil would fall and then be pumped back up by a device, repeating endlessly.

But ever since this child began using Shadow Clones to coat themselves in oil and enter the pseudo-Sage Mode, Mount Myōboku's Toad Oil reserves had plummeted rapidly. Each clone used little oil, but there were simply too many clones. Now, the oil pond had a visible mark, seven centimeters higher than the oil level, paining Fukasaku Sage's heart.

This was only one year. Based on Fukasaku Sage's many years of teaching experience, if nothing unexpected happened, this child would probably need eight or nine years to complete his training. Now it was floor tiles and Toad Oil, but what next? This wasn't training to become a Sage; this was practically a rampage! Could you please leave something for Mount Myōboku? We didn't accumulate it easily.

"Bang... Thud..."

Two sounds, two dents. Naruto once again hoisted the Steel Gate and rushed onto the stone pillars.

Sage training made time fly. In a flash, a morning had passed.

"I'll take my leave today, Fukasaku Sage." Naruto waved goodbye.

"Mmm," Fukasaku Sage said, clutching an eyebrow in his hand.

At the Moye Treasure Brick's location, a small table, food, barbecue, and pets were all laid out.

Naruto returned to his previous routine: light training in the morning, lunch at noon, and heavy physical training dragging iron in the afternoon.

Inside the Seal Space, Naruto lay on the Nine-Tails' belly, drinking cola.

"Done falling yet?" The Nine-Tails stared blankly at the ceiling. Its attention was currently focused on watching a drama; it wasn't paying much attention to this side.

Taking a large gulp of cola, feeling the cool pleasure as it went down his throat, Naruto spoke, "Mmm... Ah... Burp~"

"This weak power, which doesn't even qualify for this old one's glance, yet you are so obsessed with it," the Nine-Tails scoffed.

For a year, all the clones Naruto dispatched were Sage Mode clones. To prevent Orochimaru from getting chakra, every time the clones had leftover chakra, they would give it to the Nine-Tails. The premise of learning Sage Mode was to remain still, which was difficult for Naruto, but simple for the Nine-Tails. Stillness was its talent; it just didn't like to move.

The result was that the Nine-Tails, for no apparent reason, was close to mastering the control of natural energy.

In this world, everyone was striving to become stronger for their dreams, Naruto included. Only the Nine-Tails grew stronger by eating. Tailed Beasts were chakra aggregates. Given the Nine-Tails' current portly physique, which concealed its waist, if someone claimed it wasn't stronger than before, even Shukaku wouldn't believe it.

While everyone was desperately training for new abilities, only the Nine-Tails passively learned to use natural energy. Perhaps soon, it could enter Nine-Tails Sage Pig Mode at any time, even faster than Naruto learned Sage Mode. It's infuriating how a human is outdone by a fox!

"You look down on it?" Naruto asked. In Naruto's view, natural energy was the most powerful energy in Naruto. Both Nine-Tails Mode and Six Paths Mode had their limits, but Sage Mode was infinite; no matter how strong you were, it would enhance you. Didn't the Prince later rely on the natural energy absorbed by the Nine-Tails to withstand Indra's Arrow, which gathered the power of eight and a half Tailed Beasts?

"Hmph, not only do I look down on it, this old one can't even be bothered to move." The fox demon scoffed. The Nine-Tails had always looked down on natural energy, considering it weak. In the original story, it only truly acknowledged this power late in the Fourth Great Ninja War, and even looked down on the Prince when he was learning Sage Mode.

Looking at his fox demon, Naruto felt it was like an old general on a stage, with flags, not tails, stuck in its back. He thought for a moment, dabbed black dye on his fingernail, and taking advantage of turning over, drew a horizontal line on the Nine-Tails' belly. This represented this flag.

He thought again, turned over three more times, and drew three more strokes. These represented the previous flags: not eating human food, not drinking alcohol, and not watching dramas. Now there were four strokes; one more would complete a 'ćŁ' character (a tally mark).

After finishing, Naruto lay on the Nine-Tails' belly, sipping cola and imagining how many 'ćŁ' characters he could draw on the Nine-Tails before he died, given its flag-setting speed.

"Why are you fidgeting?" The Nine-Tails was still staring at the ceiling.

Naruto patted the fox demon's belly: "I'm not fidgeting, I just turned over."

After eating, Naruto harnessed himself again, dragging the Moye Treasure Brick +1, and ran circles around the stone house. Naruto had always trained this way when Jiraiya wasn't back, intending to tell Jiraiya, "When you're out having fun, I won't run wild; enjoy yourself."

Usually, Shunfeng would come over to join the fun when he ran circles, but today it was still trying to climb trees. Not only that, it was also instigating Yubing to teach it. Shunfeng didn't even consider Shengjiang; that orange creature was too lazy.

Xiao Lingtong was scurrying and leaping through the trees, chasing birds. Among this group of creatures, including Naruto, only it was the oldest apart from the Nine-Tails, yet it was the most energetic. Although it was old and also possessed a Grerl Stone, it still wouldn't outlive Shengjiang and Yubing. A normal cat living to twenty was already impressive, but from what Naruto understood, Shengjiang and Yubing had lived for fifty years.

This question had always puzzled him, but in a conversation with Fukasaku Sage, he found the answer. Fukasaku Sage said he once heard the Great Sage Gamamaru say that two creatures not within the river of time had arrived in this world, referring to Shengjiang and Yubing. This meant that unless they died unnaturally, the Nine-Tails might not even outlive them. Naruto was extremely depressed at the time. He could accept not outliving a fox, but he didn't expect to be outlived even by a ferret and cats. The only one he could outlive was a dog.

He really had raised a bunch of heirloom treasures; not only could they see him off, but they could also see off all his descendants.

For dinner, Naruto bought a lot of ingredients. With Jiraiya gone, he planned to have a good meal. Anyone who eats his stuff will turn orange. It wouldn't be good for Jiraiya to eat too much.

Placing the ingredients on the grill, Naruto sent a clone to Orochimaru's base promptly at five o'clock. Nine to five, signing in and punching the clock every day. Anyway, it was just a chakra-less clone; hit it all you want, if I even frown, I lose. If you don't like it, come beat me through the portal.

The Nameless clone arrived at Orochimaru's base via the portal.

"I've been waiting for you, Naruto-kun," Pakura said, standing in the center of the training ground.

"Orochimaru?" the clone asked.

"It's me."

"What is it?"

"There are some things I'd like to discuss with you," Pakura continued.

"Wait a second." The clone walked to the wall and pressed his handprint onto the stone wall. Signing in, he was serious; his mission was to sign in.

"Go on," he said.

Pakura walked to the edge of the training ground and asked, "Naruto-kun, what do you think of my place here?"

"Wait a second." The clone waved, signaling a pause. Two seconds later, he disappeared. He was a clone; these clones rarely participated in decisions regarding the main body. After all, they were responsible for having fun.

A few seconds later, Tiezhu stepped out of the portal: "It's pretty good." This Orochimaru base, where one could challenge martial arts masters from various ninja villages every day, was indeed a good place to improve one's strength.

"Then do you know who she is?" Pakura asked, pointing to herself.

"Wait a second." Tiezhu made a slight frown and disappeared. You wait, I'll switch accounts and talk to you.

"No idea," Naruko said after arriving.

"She is Pakura of the Sand Village, a Kekkei Genkai user of Scorch Release, formed from Wind and Fire Chakra."

The newly arrived Moye: "And?"

"This Kekkei Genkai can be learned, you know," Orochimaru said, controlling Pakura.

Whether it was an illusion or not, Moye thought he saw a trace of sadness in Pakura's eyes.

Naruto understood Orochimaru's meaning. He bit into a freshly grilled piece of gluten, and sent a small account to relay a message: "Trying to provoke me?"

I've been fighting with you for half a year, and now you're trying to provoke me into coming to your base?
