Chapter 449 - Fang Yuan Is Simply Too Generous: Part Two

The gathered Wills quickly began inspecting the contents. To their shock, everything was real. The design for the Blood Chariot was complete - detailed down to the finest level on where to place each gu worm and in what position. Even a child could follow these instructions and replicate the Blood Chariot if given enough time. As for the gu worms themselves, Fang Yuan had attached detailed recipes on how to refine each and every single one of them. The Blood Chariot consisted of thousands of mortal gu worms - it could be said that just the refinement recipes information alone could be considered a partial Blood Path inheritance.

Alongside this information were numerous additional Blood Path Gu recipes. Some were Fang Yuan's own creations, others were drawn from the Blood Sea Ancestor's inheritance that he had found, and still others were mixed in from various sources to obscure their origin.

Additionally, there were the templates for basic Blood Path killer moves, advice on how to manage Blood Path resources in one's aperture such as by constructing Blood Waterfalls, techniques on rearing Blood Path Beasts, information on certain Blood Path calamities tribulations, and even some philosophical discourse on the nature of the Blood Path. This was all written in simple language that even a novice could readily understand, even if it would take time to digest.

Truly, Fang Yuan was simply too generous giving all of this out for free.

"All of this - it's 100% correct as is!" A Will cried out in disbelief. "There are no flaws!"

This was what shocked them the most. When selling gu recipes or killer moves on Yellow Treasure Heaven, it was common practice to include subtle errors or omit pieces of information. Everyone did so. But Fang Yuan had done no such thing. Everything was perfect. One could blindly follow his instructions and things would be perfectly fine.

"The Blood Chariot... it works!"

Within minutes, more than a hundred wills copied the information he had put on display. Ten minutes later, over a thousand copies had been made. These copies fed right into Fang Yuan's plans. Now, even if he removed these gu worms on display, there were enough copies that this information would remain on Yellow Treasure Heaven in perpetuity.

Someone made an Audio-Visual Gu recording of constructing the Blood Chariot. This was quite a ballsy move, though no identifying pieces of information could be gleaned from the image. Indeed, it worked just like Fang Yuan had promised.

The commotion escalated rapidly.

"This is unbelievable…"

"A mortal Gu House rivaling Rank 6 power…"

"To achieve this - even Venerables would find it difficult!"

"The Proud Bone Demon Lord now has a contender for his position..."

Of course, people had their doubts.

"This is the Blood Path," someone said cautiously. "Are you not concerned about being found out? Or about what this person's intentions are?"

No one truly believed Fang Yuan's claim that Blood Path cultivators were benevolent for even a millisecond. For that matter, his speech would not have convinced even the most dullest dullard that Blood Path cultivators were really just nice people who were misunderstood deep down. Let alone anyone who had managed to reach Rank 6 - no one like that could be a complete nitwit.

But belief was unnecessary.

What mattered was utility.

Rank 6 Gu Immortals were the ones who were most numerous among Immortals. For Rank 6 Gu Immortals - most of whom lacked even a single Immortal Gu - this was an irresistible opportunity. A Gu House provided stable offensive power that could be used by anyone.

What was the most common cause of death amongst Gu Immortals? Not dying from old age, but rather, tribulations and calamities.

Forget ten percent - even a one percent increase in survival chance was worth everything. Any path that lacked offensive capabilities such as Refinement or Information would benefit massively from the Blood Chariot. What if Heaven's Will threw a Blue Lightning Shadow or some Desolate Beast at you? Many would ordinarily be defenseless or have difficulty fighting such a creature. But a Gu House was very easy to use, unlike a killer move little thought had to be employed while using it so there was little room for error. It would also pack quite a punch against such a creature.

Even when it came to calamities that didn't involve direct fighting, offensive power could still be used to destroy certain objects. The Blood Chariot, though specialized in offense, could also be used as a defensive shelter and for movement. Even if it came to paths that had good offensive methods like the Metal Path or Fire Path, who wouldn't want an alternative method to strike? A mouse that had only one hole would easily be caught, and a person who relied on only one type of move could eventually be countered by Heaven's Will.

At the moment, a Rank 6 Supreme Elder of the Black Heaven Temple Sect in the Central Continent closely observed the information he had just captured. "To make a Blood Chariot..." One of his junior brothers had recently perished when a Six Headed Snake had appeared as an Earthly Calamity. They had been an Enslavement Path Gu Immortal and lacked the strength to fight such a creature head-on. But had they possessed this Blood Chariot, the story could've been quite different. "...I have my next Earthly Calamity coming soon in just a few months. I haven't been able to refine a single Immortal Gu despite my best efforts. Damnit, and I don't even have enough sect contribution points to ask someone to help. Maybe making this really is my best choice?"

When even a Supreme Elder of one of the Ten Great Ancient Sects of the Central Continent could be seduced by this offer of power, what more to say of lone and demonic cultivators? Such people lived miserable lives, scraping by day by day and struggling for even half a dozen Immortal Essence Stones.

So what if they would be killed if caught using one? They could only consider such consequences after they had survived. There was only reputation to worry about if one lived to see the next day. The Blood Chariot was easy to construct and feed - most of its gu worms needed only fresh blood which was easy enough to obtain. And for a single drop of Immortal Essence, it could be run for near-perpetuity. People could even make multiples of it if they so wished, each one being driven by a Will given Immortal Essence.

Since Rank 6 Gu Immortals were the target demographic for the Gu House in question, conflict with dao marks did not matter as much at their level to be significant. While its attack power might be slightly diminished, it could still pack quite a punch. Since it did not have any Immortal Gu, it would also not change the strength of any incoming tribulation or calamity by a large amount when placed in one's aperture.

To hide it all that one had to do was keep it in their aperture and not reveal it to the outside world. If for some reason they had to invite someone into their aperture - they could disassemble it and sell the gu worms on Yellow Treasure Heaven. If worse came to worse, they could just detonate all of the gu worms. They were just mortal gu worms after all; and construct it again once time allowed.

Sure, Rank 7 and Rank 8 Gu Immortals would not care for this. And this was only a short-term solution given that eventually the Blood Chariot would be outclassed. But so what? What mattered was surviving here and now, only then could anyone think of the future.

Fang Yuan's 'inheritance' was something that could potentially revolutionize the world of cultivation by greatly increasing the survival rate of Rank 6 Gu Immortals.

Yellow Treasure Heaven saw a level of activity that Fang Yuan had never witnessed before in terms of volume. This was more of a paradigm shift than what happened when he had started selling Ambition Gu.
