Fang Yuan was deep in thought but couldn't think of an explanation no matter how much he contemplated it.
He put this matter aside for the time being.
He was more concerned with fine-tuning all of the tools needed to explore dream realms.
Even if he couldn't take Dream Wings Immortal Gu directly, there may be ways to mimic its effect. It was almost similar to a Space Path Gu's effect, only for dreams. If his attainment in the Dream Path increased, he might find a solution that did not need that specific Immortal Gu.
Unfortunately his attainment was still only ordinary, else he might have even been able to solve the issue of Unravel Dream by now.
If Fang Yuan managed to solve all of the issues he had, he would without a doubt become the foremost explorer of dream realms in this world!
For now, he chose to defer exploration of the dream realm he had found near first gen Gu Yue's residence. His soul had been fatigued slightly, and he would prefer to have Unravel Dream finished before he tried.
Fang Yuan decided to descend back into Gu Yue village, snickering inwardly as he saw the chaos that his 'experimentation' had led to.
They would need some kind of explanation, as would the surrounding villages as well.
Fang Zheng saw him as he came down. "Brother - something's been going on and-"
"I know," Fang Yuan said. "The truth is that there is a phenomenon known as Emotional Fog which is around this area. It caused the other villages to experience extreme emotions, and even caused them to have amnesia. Thankfully, I was here to ward it off and made sure that the Gu Yue Clan did not suffer by much. You should go ahead and let everyone know of this."
"Oh? Is that so, so Big Brother, you saved all of us!?"
"There is no need to thank me. All is part of my duty as Supreme Elder," Fang Yuan said.
While he said this, his main concern right now was trying to figure out how to expand Gu Yue village's population as quickly as possible. The more people there were, the lower the burden on each of them would be.
Fang Yuan was an Immortal, and as such, his emotions were more intense than that of a mortal's. That was why even when his emotions were spread, they were quite intense for the Gu Yue Villagers and had been a bit difficult to handle.
One only needed to take a swift sweep around the village to see the people sobbing, fighting, and reacting in quite abnormal ways.
Fang Zheng was trying to control them, but there were still massive issues.
"Oh? So this was a natural phenomenon?"
"It was really scary to think that something like that could change how we think..."
"I saw my husband and my sister-in-law kissing earlier, the Emotional Fog is to blame?"
"We should warn the other villages."
"Good thing that we had Fang Yuan to save us."
"Everyone, I suddenly developed a foot fetish. I think the Emotional Fog was responsible for that too."
There was quite a bit of property damage, not to say the least of relationships between people which had been damaged because of Familial Emotion.
Now, the Gu Yue Villagers had to try and pick up the pieces left behind by all of this.
Fang Yuan was not interested in their welfare in the slightest, however, if they ended up killing each other it would make Familial Emotion far less useful. It was for this reason that he had more
'How can I try and increase their population?' Fang Yuan thought.
He could not do so himself. Now that he had become an Immortal, it was difficult for him to conceive with a mortal woman. This was one of the ways that Heaven restricted the growth of Immortals.
If he had some methods from Giant Sun Immortal Venerable - or even the number one ranked mystical gu, Stare Pregnancy Gu, he could probably do so anyway, but he had none of these methods.
The second best method was to make use of Fang Zheng. The closer the blood relation, the better the effect of Familial Emotion was.
'Should I purchase a large number of female slaves from the Northern Plains and then use Fang Zheng as a breeding bull?' he thought to himself. Women had low status in the Northern Plains and were oftentimes taken as slaves by rival tribes. It would likely be a beneficial contract for both parties.
Fang Zheng's aversion to woman was an issue, but with proper emotional manipulation from Fang Yuan, it was not impossible.
He did not even need to use Fang Zheng, he could even give them to the general population of Gu Yue Village. Women were the main limiting factor to how many children the village could produce, after all, he just needed to bring in as many as possible.
With that said, doing so in the open would have its own problems, let alone to speak of the problems it would cause for societal order in the village. And this would not solve itself within the upcoming months.
'For now, I can only use Familial Emotion as is,' Fang Yuan thought to himself.

Within Fang Yuan's aperture, on the Fang Yuan continent, there was a man within a cave who was cultivating.
This cultivation had to be done in secret, because of the aversion of the people on Fang Yuan Continent to cultivating.
He was the same youth whom Fang Yuan had noticed earlier who had happened upon Man Triumphing Over Heaven Gu.
'Ah... finally... Rank 1 Peak Stage!' the man thought to himself.
His name was Wang Tian.
Wang Tian had always had one dream - and that was to cultivate!
Not to gain power or anything like that, but he was fascinated by the gu worms that existed in this world.
Most of the gu worms in Fang Yuan's aperture were Human Path gu worms, naturally.
There was Farmer Gu, which he could use to grow crops so that people didn't have to tend the fields.
There was Miner Gu, who could unearth rare minerals without having to cause damage to ordinary people's lungs.
There was Drunken Father Gu, which one could combine with Leather Belt Gu to create a killer move that you could use to beat people. Its effectiveness was increased if used on woman or children.
There was Cook Gu, which could be used to bake delicious recipes.
Such a wide variety of them - and yet, he had to undergo Gu Master cultivation in secret because of the way the rest of his tribe thought of Gu Masters.
He had even had to awaken his aperture in secret when he found a field of Hope Gu in the wild. Since then, he had gone to great lengths to hide his aperture from others. He even got a tattoo around the area so it seemed that the blemish made by his aperture was just part of the tattoo.
Why couldn't the rest of his tribe see what he saw?
That always seemed like such a shame to Wang Tian. He didn't even understand why they were so afraid of Gu Masters.
Because of this, he had to find this secluded spot where he could cultivate in peace without them knowing. His progress was far below what an ordinary Gu Master's would be with his aptitude - with 95% aptitude most would be at Rank 3 by now. And yet, here he was, only at Rank 1 Peak Stage.
'If the rumors are true, there is Rank 2 beyond this, but that will have to wait for later," Wang Tian thought to himself.
