A New Beginning: The Spark of First Love
As the new classes began, Aryan and Ananya found themselves in the same class. However, things were different now. After their last conversation, Ananya started ignoring Aryan completely. She didn't speak to him, didn't look at him—as if they had never met before.
Aryan, on the other hand, felt a deep guilt over what he had said to her. He wanted to apologize, but every time he saw her, he hesitated. He lacked the courage to step forward.
Days passed like this. They saw each other every day but acted like strangers.
The Apology
One day, Aryan finally gathered the courage and called out to her. "Ananya..."
She stopped but didn't turn around immediately. When she finally faced him, her expression was unreadable.
"I... I'm sorry for that day," Aryan said, his voice hesitant.
Ananya sighed and shook her head. "I don't need your apology," she replied. "But don't let others mock you."
Her words struck something inside Aryan. Before he could say anything, she suddenly asked,
"Are you free at break time?"
Surprised, Aryan nodded. "Yeah... I guess."
Ananya simply said, "Okay. Let's talk then." and walked away.
A Secret Revealed
When the break time arrived, Aryan told his friends that he had something to do and wouldn't be eating with them. At the same time, Ananya also informed her friends and went to meet Aryan.
As they sat down together, Ananya looked at Aryan with curiosity. "Now, tell me the truth. How did you use so much power in your first match?"
Aryan hesitated for a moment, then slowly lifted his sleeve to show her something—his power seal.
"That day... I felt something inside me. It wanted to break free, so I let it," Aryan explained. "After that, I don't remember anything. When I woke up, I was at my ancestors' home."
He then told her everything—how his family had sealed his power, how he had broken it, and the oath he had taken.
Hearing this, Ananya's expression softened. Now she understood why Aryan couldn't use his power anymore.
After a moment of silence, she smiled and extended her hand. "Alright then. Let's be friends."
Aryan stared at her hand, his heart pounding in his chest. Slowly, he reached out and shook it. The moment their hands touched, his face turned red—but Ananya didn't seem to notice.
Trying to change the topic, Aryan quickly asked, "Have you eaten lunch yet?"
She shook her head. "Not yet. Let's eat together."
After finishing their meal, they both returned to their respective friend groups.
The Realization
As Aryan walked back to his friends, he felt something strange.
For some reason, he was happy. He could feel it all over his face. He wasn't sure why, but he liked this feeling.
One of his friends noticed. "Hey, Aryan... what's up with you?"
Aryan quickly snapped out of his thoughts. "What? Uh... Nothing!"
His friend raised an eyebrow. "Okay... if you say so."
But Aryan himself didn't understand what was happening to him.
His heart was racing. His mind kept replaying their conversation. The way she smiled. The way she shook his hand.
"Is this... love?"
It was his first love, and he had no idea how to deal with it.
But one thing was certain—it felt good.
Unspoken Feelings
From that day onward, Aryan and Ananya started seeing each other every day. Their friendship grew stronger, but there was a difference—Ananya didn't feel the same way Aryan did.
She liked Aryan, but in a different way.
Aryan, on the other hand, was deeply in love. He wanted to confess.
But every time he thought about it, fear gripped his heart.
"What if she rejects me?"
"What if she stops talking to me?"
And so, he kept his feelings hidden, afraid of losing her.
