"Go home." An Ran blurted it out without hesitation. Mu Xingfeng hadn't returned to the Imperial City yet, so of course she was going home.
"Going home again?" Zheng Kai muttered under his breath. Then he thought, going home is fine—he wasn't planning to go to evening self-study anyway. He could walk her home, and if possible, take her out for dinner and a movie.
Thinking of this, Zheng Kai opened his mouth, just about to say he'd take her home tonight, when he heard Lu Yi's voice from behind them.
"Morning. Why are you two standing here?"
An Ran didn't notice at all that Zheng Kai's face had gone the color of pig liver the moment he heard Lu Yi's voice. She lifted her little paw and waved at him. "Morning, Lu Yi. I just ran into Zheng Kai. Class is about to start, let's hurry up and go."
