Lin Yixun coaxed Xiao Yi Xun to sleep, got up and went to the kitchen for a glass of water, but noticed the man standing at the door when she turned around.
The man stared at her intently, something seemed to churn and surge in his eyes. He opened his mouth, his voice hoarse, "Was it you who saved me back then?"
"Does it matter if it was me?" Lin Yixun said lightly.
The man lowered his eyes sadly, smiling self-deprecatingly. What's the point of figuring this out now? What's done is done, and nothing can be undone.

In the middle of the night, the man was awakened by a series of knocks on the door. He got up and opened the door to find Lin Yixun standing there, looking anxious.
"What's going on?" the man asked, frowning.
"Yixun has a fever again!"
The man's heart sank, just as he had feared. He turned around, went back to the bedside to grab the car keys, and said to Lin Yixun, "To the hospital!"
