Yan Ting walked up the stairs with heavy, deliberate steps, arriving at the door of his grandfather's study. He raised his hand and knocked.
The door opened. Old Sir Huo, draped in a coat, sat stern-faced in his chair. He glanced at Yan Ting, his sharp gaze sweeping across his face: "Who did you go see?"
"No one. Just met up with a few friends," Yan Ting answered in a calm, subdued voice.
Old Sir Huo suddenly threw a few photos from the desk drawer onto the table: "What's going on between you and Lin Banxia? Someone took pictures of the two of you pulling and tugging at each other."
Old Sir Huo referred to "someone" without explicitly mentioning Huo Qinglin's name. This made Yan Ting's gaze darken instantly.
"I was only warning her, telling her not to appear in front of me," Yan Ting said indifferently as he glanced over the photos. His voice betrayed no discernible emotion.
