Yan Ting listened to her self-mockery, his heart aching slightly, and he held her even tighter. "I didn't expect Wei Chen to bring you here. From what he said to me, I know he actually meant well."
"I begged him to bring me. He said you were already with Chu Tingting. I couldn't accept it and wanted to see for myself. Please don't blame him," Banxia whispered softly to him.
"You're speaking up for him?" Yan Ting's brows furrowed slightly, a trace of displeasure in his gaze.
He forcefully turned her petite body to face him. Even though there was no light, one could still sense the anger radiating from his presence.
"I just don't want there to be misunderstandings between you two because of me," Banxia explained, her tone tinged with a hint of anxiousness.
"It's likely already misunderstood. Wei Chen thinks that after I abandoned you, I still want to restrict your freedom. He cares about you a lot," Yan Ting mocked with a faint disdain.
