[POV - Rito][Sainan - Yuuki House - Morning]

Beep-beep-beep.

The cosmic alarm I had installed in my mind started beeping like a metal detector gone crazy. Something BIG had just entered Sainan's airspace.

Oh shit.

— They're here — I murmured, looking out the living room window.

Whoooosh.

Sainan's sky, which seconds ago was blue and peaceful, was now being blocked by a spaceship the size of three city blocks. Damn, Gid never learned the concept of "discreet entrance," huh?

Panic.

— RITO! — Mikan shouted from the kitchen. — THERE'S A GIANT ALIEN SHIP OVER OUR HOUSE!

— I know! — I shouted back. — It's Lala's parents!

— HER PARENTS?! — I heard the sound of pots falling. — YOU DIDN'T SAY THEY WERE COMING TODAY!

Technically...

— Technically I said it last night — I murmured quietly.

CRASH.

The front door exploded — didn't open, EXPLODED — and Lala ran in like a pink hurricane.

— RITO! DADDY AND MOMMY ARE HERE! AND THEY BROUGHT MOMO AND NANA TOO!

Wait.

— Momo and Nana? — I repeated. — Your sisters?

— Yes! — Lala jumped excitedly. — You'll love them! Momo is super cute and smart, and Nana is... well, she's complicated, but deep down has a good heart!

Great.

Great. As if meeting alien in-laws who could destroy planets wasn't stressful enough, now there were two more alien princesses in the equation.

Beam down.

Fwooooosh.

Five pillars of light descended from the sky like golden lightning, materializing figures in front of the house. When the light dissipated...

Impressive.

There he was. Gid Lucione Deviluke. The King of the largest known galactic empire. Two and a half meters of pure muscle, spiky black hair, that "I can blow you up with a thought" aura that warrior kings always have.

But unlike last time...

Humble.

He wasn't exuding that intimidating aura. Actually, he seemed almost... respectful? Like a warrior recognizing someone stronger.

Flashback.

Six months ago...

— YOU DARE COURT MY DAUGHTER?! — Gid had roared, demonic power leaking like a tsunami.

I had continued eating my taiyaki, completely unaffected.

— The taiyaki is good. Want one? — I offered casually.

That's when he realized. His intimidating aura, which made galaxies tremble, was doing absolutely NOTHING to me.

End flashback.

— Yuuki Rito — Gid said formally, bowing slightly. — It's an honor to be in your presence again.

Whoa.

Okay, he was REALLY being humble. This was new.

— Gid-sama — I replied, returning the bow. — Welcome to Earth.

Elegant entrance.

Beside Gid, a woman of ethereal beauty stepped forward. Long pink hair, gentle eyes, and that maternal aura only queens can have. Sephie Michaela Deviluke.

— Yuuki-san — she said with a melodious voice — we finally meet properly. Lala talks about you so much.

Touch.

She extended her hand, and when I held it...

CONNECTION.

I felt that moment of recognition. Her eyes widened slightly, feminine and maternal perception instantly detecting that there was something... more... in me.

But she said nothing. Just smiled warmly and squeezed my hand.

Smart woman.

— It's a pleasure, Sephie-sama — I said.

Awkward silence.

— SO! — Lala broke the awkward silence. — These are my sisters! Momo and Nana!

Step forward.

Two girls stepped forward. The first had darker pink hair than Lala, calculating but kind eyes, and a smile that screamed "I know things you don't know." Momo.

— Rito-san — she bowed gracefully. — I've heard a lot about you. Lala doesn't do you justice in her descriptions.

Suspicious.

There was something in her tone... as if she had a hidden agenda.

The second girl, Nana, had peach-colored hair and an expression that oscillated between curiosity and stubbornness. Typical tsundere energy.

— Hmph — she crossed her arms. — So you're the guy who won over my sister? Doesn't seem like much.

Classic.

— Nana! — Lala scolded.

— What? I'm just being honest!

Ahem.

— How about we go inside? — I suggested diplomatically. — Mikan prepared tea and...

CRASH.

The sound of something breaking came from the kitchen, followed by:

— RITO! EXACTLY HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE STAYING FOR TEA?!

Panic mode.

— Ah... five more? — I shouted back hesitantly.

— FIVE?! RITO, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!

Nervous laugh.

— My sister is... expressive — I explained to the Deviluke family.

Sephie laughed gently.

— Little sisters always are. Trust me, I know well.

[Living Room - 15 minutes later]

Cramped.

The living room, which was normally spacious, now seemed tiny with the presence of the alien royal family. Gid sitting rigidly on the sofa, clearly uncomfortable in such a... normal... environment. Sephie beside him, elegant and relaxed. Lala, Momo and Nana scattered on the floor like normal teenagers.

And Mikan, poor thing, running between the kitchen and living room serving tea as if her life depended on it.

Observation.

I noticed Momo observing me. Not obviously, but those calculating little eyes were definitely analyzing my every movement.

— So, Rito-san — she said softly — Lala says you're... special.

Careful.

— Special how? — I asked cautiously.

— Well — she tilted her head, that enigmatic smile — it's not every day someone manages not to be affected by daddy's intimidating aura. And it's not every day daddy bows to someone.

Gulp.

Gid coughed uncomfortably.

— Momo — he warned.

— Just making an observation, daddy — she replied innocently.

Subject change.

— And you, girls? — I asked, trying to change the subject. — First time on Earth?

— Yes! — Nana responded, animation finally breaking the tsundere pose. — I want to meet all the Earth animals! Especially dogs!

Cute.

Okay, she was cuter than she wanted to admit.

— I can take you to the park later — I offered. — There are lots of dogs there.

Blush.

Her cheeks flushed slightly.

— I-it's not like I want to go with YOU specifically — she stammered. — I just want to see the dogs!

Classic tsundere.

Lala and Momo exchanged knowing looks and giggles.

Tea time.

Mikan finally entered with the tea tray, clearly exhausted.

— Here you are — she said, trying to maintain composure. — Traditional Japanese green tea.

— Thank you, dear — Sephie said warmly, accepting the cup. — You must be Rito's sister. I can see the resemblance.

Blush.

Mikan blushed at the compliment.

— Th-thank you, Sephie-sama.

Sip.

Everyone took a sip of tea in awkward silence, that kind of silence that happens when nobody knows exactly what to say.

Until...

BOOM!

An explosion came from the second floor.

Oh no.

— WHAT WAS THAT?! — Mikan screamed.

— Ah... — Lala laughed nervously — I think I left one of my inventions on...

Smoke.

Smoke began descending the stairs.

— LALA! — Nana exploded. — YOU AND YOUR CRAZY INVENTIONS!

— It wasn't on purpose! — Lala defended herself.

— It never is! — Momo added, but was smiling.

Chaos.

And so, in less than twenty minutes of the Deviluke family being on Earth, my house was already on fire.

Typical.

I sighed, standing up.

— I'll... deal with this — I murmured.

But when I looked at Sephie, she was smiling. Not a nervous or worried smile. A genuine, warm smile.

As if she completely approved of the chaos that was my life now.

Interesting.

Very interesting indeed.
