The next morning, Sheng Tang woke up at six-thirty.
With the first rays of the morning sun, she pulled open the hotel curtains, filling the room with golden light that turned the carpet a brilliant shade. The breeze wafting into the room carried a hint of warmth.
Sheng Tang stretched lazily.
She got up unhurriedly, practiced yoga and did some simple physical exercises, and then took a shower.
When she went downstairs for breakfast, she found the restaurant nearly empty.
She glanced at her phone.
"It's already eight, why is the restaurant still empty?" Sheng Tang muttered.
At the table next to her, a few staff members were sitting, eating breakfast while discussing last night's news.
The breakfast in the restaurant was self-serve, and Sheng Tang usually ate a lot in the morning. As she was getting her food, she overheard some fragments of conversation.
