The New Year had just passed, and Sheng Tang's art school entrance exam had arrived.
She applied to a local film academy, one of the star schools, which was apparently far less prestigious than the prior one. This was her pre-selection.
Before the end of registration, Sheng Tang suddenly received a phone call.
She had lost her phone, and although she had gone back to the business hall to get her number back, she hadn't saved the caller's number.
She answered.
"Little sister, do you remember me?" A very pleasant female voice came from the phone.
Sheng Tang had an excellent memory.
She remembered everyone she had met, even just once.
This was Zheng Weiwei, the famous screenwriter, who was also said to be one of the examiners at the Beijing Film Academy.
"Sister Zheng." Sheng Tang answered, "I've always remembered you."
After exchanging a few pleasantries, Zheng Weiwei got straight to the point.
"Did you apply to the Beijing Film Academy?" she asked Sheng Tang.
