Not long after, Uncle answered the phone with a hoarse voice.
"Uncle, why is your voice so hoarse? Are you alright?" Mu Shini asked, full of concern.
"I'm fine, do you need anything?" Bo Sishen asked in a low voice, his eyes darkening, his voice almost betraying him, "I caught a fever and a cold these past few days, that's why my voice is like this."
"Uncle, are you really okay? What did you mean by what you said on WeChat the other day?" Mu Shini asked, holding her phone tightly, "Will you come back tonight?"
She had been waiting for so long, but Uncle still hadn't come back.
"Remember to lock the door when you sleep, I'm not coming back," Bo Sishen said hoarsely.
"Uncle, you caught a cold, it couldn't be from me, right? Remember to make garlic and rock sugar soup! I drank it a few times when you made it and felt much better!" Mu Shini said softly, worried, as she heard Uncle saying he had a fever and cold.
