Shanshui Manor, 8 PM.
Ji Wei had been lying in bed for most of the day. Her waist felt a little sore and strained as she carefully propped up her upper body to sit. The wounds on her body had mostly healed and weren't as painful anymore.
Gu Moqian had gone to the children's room next door to coax An An to sleep and hadn't returned yet.
She picked up the book placed beside the bed and casually flipped through a few pages, her mind wandering. Her gaze repeatedly drifted toward the vanity. The divorce agreement should still be in the middle drawer.
Ji Wei stared at the drawer in a daze, lightly biting her lower lip.
Then, as if making up her mind, she set the book aside, lifted the blanket, and slowly got out of bed.
Walking pulled at the wounds on her body, so Ji Wei moved very slowly and stepped cautiously, taking half a minute to arrive at the vanity.
