Ling Ling had just finished a meeting and walked out, only to see Ji Wei.
To make commuting easier, she had been staying in the apartment at the project site recently. Yesterday, Ji Wei had returned and only spoken to her on the phone; the two hadn't met face-to-face yet.
Seeing Ji Wei, Ling Ling was delighted. After chatting briefly, they headed to the cafeteria together.
It was currently lunchtime rush hour, and the cafeteria was filled with employees lining up to get their meals. Seeing the long-absent Director Ji suddenly show up, everyone froze for a moment and quickly made way for her to get her food first.
Ji Wei graciously declined their kindness.
