Chapter 8 - ch 8

"So this is the cave that got me My pretty comfortable poncho. Should probably get more clothes later..." Gabe walks over to the cave that he found the skeleton with. The damn brutes even left the skull in the same place too! Seeing that only the skull was left without its body, he stood to pay his respects to the unknown remains before him.

"Alright its go time!" Venturing into the cave, Gabe made a slight note of something. He has no dark vision. He stumbled through the dark of the cave, t feeling out many stalactites, stalagmites and every other rock under his feet. Yet bark skin once again comes into play as they can't pierce through. "Man, this cave really stretches on for awhile. "Hey, is that a light?" Seeing something bright, Gabe stumbled toward an open area. Gabe makes his way into the area. He stands up and sees the horde of goblins.

"Crap!" Thinking fast, he gets behind a pile of rocks in order to avoid being spotted by the working goblins.

🎶WAAAhhhhhg! Dig,Dig,DIG! WAAAAHHHG! Lifting stone!🎶

🎶WAAAhhhhhg! Sharpen axe! WAAAAHHG! For the throne!🎶

🎶Crash! SMASH! prepare for great brawl!🎶

🎶Churn! BURN! all shall fall!🎶

🎶Goblin work for the boss! do or die! no accept loss!🎶

🎶WAAAhhhhhg! Dig,Dig,DIG! WAAAAHHHG! Lifting stone!🎶

🎶WAAAhhhhhg! Sharpen axe! WAAAAHHG! For the throne!🎶

The goblins toil as they chat along with the robed figure above the stone platform in the center. Some are using crude mining tools, such as pickaxes and hand cranked drills. Others...well, they just use their fists, with varying results among the individuals. "What could these green goobers be doing now?" Gabe narrows his eyes as he watch the ritualistic mining operation proceed. The robed goblin suddenly whistles, a loud and clear sound echoing within the chamber. All of the working goblins stop what they're doing, knowing that their break is on the way.

"Food time! Me hungry! Go! go!" One goblin cheers as he rushes towards the food. "Food grubber! save some for us!" The goblins trudge forward, minds distracted by the thought of filling their stomachs. "Now's my chance."  Watching them leave, Gabe sneaks up from his hiding spot "so from what I can tell, they are making weapons for an invasion? A bit cruel but they might just do the job. Well I suppose I can start 'repaying the favor' here then in that case!"

1 hour later...

"Food great yum yum!" "Deer taste mazing!" "Shame back to work...food too good." The goblins drag their feet to get back to the workstations, ready to finish meeting the boss' goal. At least, that was the plan. "WHERE are WEAPONS!?" The robed goblin screeched. The others rushed over to find that the once mountain of munitions was now gone! "FIND IT! BOSS NO HAPPY IF FIND OUT!" The goblins shudder at the unveiled threat and quickly gather to begin forming search teams.

"You guys looking for something?" All of the goblins look up at the same to the sound of the voice. Their eyes widen in shock as not only do they see the birch pest that has kept reducing their numbers, but their missing weapon quota! Gabe, standing by the weapons held up by rope, Waves as he says "Oh hey! sorry to drop in unannounced, but I brought some gifts hope you enjoy!" The wooden claws slash at the supporting rope holding it, dropping the stone armory on the goblins beneath it.

"Gah!" "Help!" "Foot in face! Foot in face!" The goblins clamor as they are buried under the very same weapons they created. Chuckling to himself, Gabe then turned his attention to the west side of the cavern. Four Tunnels stand before him. "Ok so the right tunnel was where they kept food, but the other three are unknown. Alright, guess it is gonna be food sabotage!"

Walking in, Gabe saw fruits of all kinds from red cherries up to large watermelons. Along with it he also found scraps of what appears to be venison. "Urgh, messy eaters." Suddenly, a banana peel lands on his face. Sputtering in both parts confusion and disgust, Gabe clears his vison to find out where it came from. A Large green figure could be seen at one of the piles of fruits, stuffing his maw. "Hm?" As if noticing he isn't alone in the room anymore, the goblin stands to its full size and turns around.

"Well aren't you a large one?" Gabe cranes his neck to look up at the abnormally large goblin that is almost twice his size. The goblin giant beats its chest and roars in response, clearly not one to waste words on small talk.
