Chapter 357: The Unwilling Roar at the End Today, He Steps into the Realm of Titled Douluo

Waves surged like a small tsunami, crashing against the Deep Sea Demon Whale King's body, yet even suspended in mid air, he remained unmoved.

"Why?" He raised his head, his lone eye filled with confusion as he looked at Han Li.

He was strong undeniably so. He was even confident that if the Sea God himself were here, he could fight him six to four, with himself holding the advantage.

So why? Why couldn't he block this human's attacks?

The young man before him, whose life aura radiated undeniable youth, had so effortlessly pierced his defenses, his body penetrated with ease. Just moments ago, he had assumed that the initial strike was a meticulously planned sneak attack, but after those three arrows, he realized Han Li hadn't even used a soul skill.

That was just his basic attack.

Why? Why was the strength he had honed over hundreds of thousands of years shattered so casually? It made him feel like a complete joke.

Han Li looked at him, shook his head, and offered no response. How was he supposed to answer? And what meaning would an answer even hold?

He had only come to kill him and strengthen himself.

A soul spirit? Would this guy even be willing?

What a joke of course not. And Han Li hadn't expected him to truly seek an answer.

Because the moment he asked, the confusion in his eye had already been replaced by madness. His soul power surged, his entire being prepared for self destruction. There was nothing left to discuss.

Besides, Han Li had far too many secrets. How could he possibly allow a million year old soul beast to exist within his spiritual space?

Even with the plane's consciousness, he had only chosen to trust it because he could erase it at a mere thought. How could he extend the same trust to the Deep Sea Demon Whale King?

This was the same creature that appeared in the Sea God's final inheritance trial. Even if Han Li was far stronger than Tang San had been at that time, unless he personally obliterated him, he wouldn't feel at ease.

"Linlin."

Han Li's voice echoed in Ye LingLing's mind.

Without hesitation, Ye LingLing summoned her Nine Hearted Begonia, immediately casting a healing spell on Han Li.

Just for a moment then she stopped. But even so, her face had already turned pale.

The difference between soul power, divine power, and a divine body was too vast. If not for her soul core, she might have been drained dry in an instant. Even now, she wasn't feeling great.

Beside her, Qian Daoliu released his Angel Martial Soul, soft holy light cascading over her, aiding her recovery.

As for Han Li, the moment he had relayed his message to Ye LingLing, his divine sense simultaneously struck the Deep Sea Demon Whale King, disrupting the circulation of his soul power.

Self destruction? Forget it. All that energy belonged to him how could it be wasted?

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King's lone eye rolled back under the assault of Han Li's spiritual attack. If not for his years of refinement, which had brought him incredibly close to divinity, his skull might have exploded on the spot.

Even so, his mind had plunged into chaos.

The next second, Han Li suddenly appeared before him.

At some point, his Martial Soul had transformed into twin blades, gripped firmly in his hands. He struck the beast's forehead with the hilt of his weapon.

The energy armor covering the Deep Sea Demon Whale King's body rapidly disintegrated, his soul power retreating back into him. He could no longer maintain his human form his colossal two hundred meter long body reemerged in mid air, like a great leviathan leaping from the depths.

"Let's end this."

A whisper escaped Han Li's lips, drowned by the roar of wind and crashing waves.

A streak of silver light flashed a single, seamless strike aimed at the junction of the whale's head and body.

Then, a few more slashes. Han Li's figure reappeared, his Martial Soul vanishing from his hands. The Deep Sea Demon Whale King's body was now encased in a thin layer of ice.

Under Han Li's control, the ocean below surged upward, forming an immense ice platform beneath the beast.

Raising his right hand, Han Li flicked his fingers. As if receiving a silent command, the icy shell around the Deep Sea Demon Whale King cracked.

A sharp shattering sound echoed as the whale's body broke into six precise sections, each landing in perfect order on the frozen platform as if laid upon a chopping board.

Above the ice, a massive golden soul ring materialized, radiating brilliance and dispelling the lingering darkness of the area.

The soul ring had appeared.

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King was dead.

Not far away, Qian Daoliu and Ye LingLing approached Han Li.

Even farther away, Demon Soul Great White Shark Xiao Bai momentarily froze upon seeing the golden soul ring. Then, it surged forward at full speed.

The overlord of the deep sea was dead. It had witnessed the entire event.

And yet there had been no overwhelming fluctuations of energy.

But that didn't matter. It needed to get there fast. If it could take a bite of that flesh, it might save itself millennia of cultivation. The rich aroma in the air was proof enough.

At the same time, Xiao Bai unleashed its aura, warding off other sea creatures both soul beasts and mere fish who were also being drawn in.

Qian Daoliu and Ye LingLing landed on the ice, gazing in curiosity at the colossal corpse before them.

The battle had ended almost too quickly.

But that only further highlighted Han Li's overwhelming strength.

Especially Qian Daoliu looking at the slain Deep Sea Demon Whale King, whose full power had likely been comparable to his own, he couldn't help but calculate in his mind: How many of Han Li's arrows could I withstand?

Han Li turned to them, smirking.

"Anyone up for fresh sashimi?"

Han Li pointed at the chilled whale meat before him and looked at the two beside him.

"Yes," Ye LingLing quickly responded, her eyes filled with admiration as she gazed at Han Li. Her complexion was still pale.

Qian Daoliu's lips moved slightly, swallowing back his initial refusal. His mouth was already watering, and since Ye LingLing had agreed, he saw no reason to refuse.

Han Li extended both hands, forming an ice blade, slicing a translucent piece of meat and offering it to Ye LingLing.

No matter what, he wasn't about to use his Martial Soul to cut food cooking included.

Ye LingLing glanced at Qian Daoliu apologetically, then closed her eyes and swallowed. Almost instantly, her face regained its rosy hue. The enormous amount of soul power she had previously consumed was replenished in just one bite. Warmth spread through her body, further strengthening her physique.

"Master, have some as well," Han Li said, forming an ice plate and slicing several pieces, handing them to Qian Daoliu.

Of course, he didn't forget to taste some himself.

Ye LingLing stopped after eating only a dozen pieces her soul power was fully restored. Any more, and she'd have to sit down and meditate to digest it properly.

Han Li and Qian Daoliu also ate in moderation. They still had business to take care of.

At that moment, Demon Soul Great White Shark Xiao Bai finally arrived at the scene. Seeing the massive whale carcass on the ice, it was both shocked and salivating. But without Han Li's command, it didn't dare move, merely tilting its head upward in anticipation.

Han Li glanced at it everyone present should get a share. With a flick of his wrist, he tossed a chunk of meat the size of a shark's head down to Xiao Bai, which caught it eagerly.

More? That was impossible. Giving it the Evil Demon Orca King's corpse was already generous. Running an errand didn't entitle it to a larger portion.

This near divine body, though drained of soul power due to the formation of the spirit ring, was still an invaluable treasure after being tempered for hundreds of thousands of years. Didn't Di Tian's body even end up being refined into a warship?

The Deep Sea Demon Whale King's corpse might not be as potent, but even sliced into sashimi, it was a supreme supplement for replenishing soul power and strengthening the body. Even among Han Li's inner circle, there wasn't enough to go around how could a former mount possibly get a larger share?

Ignoring Xiao Bai, who was still drooling below, Han Li focused on processing the body.

A million year old whale tendon, an absurdly large soul bone, the massive whale brain, and a fist sized whale pearl.

The moment Han Li touched the whale pearl, his body instinctively urged him to swallow it immediately, but he forcibly restrained himself.

"What is this?" Qian Daoliu asked, puzzled.

"The whale pearl the concentrated essence of the Deep Sea Demon Whale King," Han Li explained, though a faint smirk played at his lips.

A surge of divine spiritual fire and a miniature Two Yi Domain enveloped his right hand, which held the whale pearl.

At the very least, this creature had reached the pinnacle of the mortal realm. It would be a shame if it didn't even get the chance to utter some final words.

Qian Daoliu and Ye LingLing exchanged confused glances but didn't ask further. They knew Han Li never acted without purpose.

Three seconds into the scorching flames, a miniature, flaming whale burst forth from the pearl, letting out a cry of agony.

Qian Daoliu was startled. The spiritual fluctuations emanating from the tiny whale were nearly as strong as his own. He finally understood what Han Li was doing.

"Damn human, how… how do you even know about this?"

The light blue, translucent whale was different from its original form. At the very least, its soul appeared whole, with both eyes intact. Its gaze, however, was filled with venomous hatred, fueling the spiritual flames that tore through it. It writhed in agony.

"You tell me," Han Li said with a warm smile, the same smile he had worn while killing it.

The intensity of the Two Yi Domain surged once more, causing the whale's soul to disintegrate bit by bit, its fragments absorbed back into the whale pearl.

As half of its soul was shattered, the light blue whale's figure grew increasingly faint, unable to even struggle anymore.

"If beasts must live, then why do humans exist…? Damn the Divine Realm… I refuse to accept this… Why…?"

Its cries never reached their conclusion. Its soul fully collapsed, reduced to pure energy, which then seeped back into the whale pearl.

In its final moments, it abandoned its curses toward Han Li, instead gazing upward toward the Divine Realm it had never seen.

"Well then," Han Li exhaled, sealing the pearl in divine power before storing it in his wristband. With all loose ends tied up, it was time to absorb his ninth spirit ring.

The spirit ring itself undoubtedly contained remnants of the Deep Sea Demon Whale King's lingering will and negativity, but that only made it easier to deal with.

"Master, keep watch for me."

Han Li paid no mind to the trembling Xiao Bai in the water. He casually sat down on the ice, his gaze locking onto the massive golden spirit ring above him.

Though he had long surpassed this stage in strength, he still wanted to say the words

"Today, I step into the realm of Titled Douluo."
