Chapter 330 - Chapter 330: The Path Ahead? The Manifestation of Fate's Power

Chapter 330: The Path Ahead? The Manifestation of Fate's Power

Although their souls had merged, this did not mean that the authority each possessed was now open to the other. At this moment, Han Li was under immense pressure, fully mobilizing the power of the rules, leaving nothing hidden as he presented his vision of the world to Gu Yue.

Fortunately, having recently accepted the faith of the soul beast race, he had become even more attuned to the rules, which eased the burden of wielding his authority. Not to mention, his divine soul was still rapidly evolving.

But to help Gu Yue directly connect with the power of creation, he was now attempting to isolate and separate other rule influences, allowing her to face them without interference this was his way of compensating her.

This unexpected development had indeed given his strength a tremendous leap forward, but the unforeseen nature of it all left Han Li feeling irritated.

It wasn't that he disliked fortuitous encounters, but rather, he had always preferred to be the one in control. This sudden and unintended soul fusion gave him a sense of losing control.

More importantly, even though he had sealed his memories, his thoughts and emotions were now fully exposed to her. That feeling of being mentally naked under someone else's scrutiny made him both frustrated and embarrassed.

It was as if he were standing completely unclothed, allowing someone to examine him at their leisure. And given how active his mind tended to be, he really didn't like this sensation.

That was why Gu Yue kept hearing him cursing the power of fate.

Yes, he was indeed cursing the plane's consciousness, but it was also a way for him to distract himself to mask his deeper thoughts.

Of course, some things still slipped through the cracks, as Gu Yue had already noticed.

Han Li never considered himself a good person. He might put labels on others and throw dirt on their reputations, but when it came time to act, he never pretended it was for justice only for greater benefits.

But now, he wasn't sure whether this incident was truly just a coincidence, or if it had been manipulated by the force of fate itself.

Yes, despite wielding the power of the plane's consciousness, he had never discovered an actual rule of fate within the Douluo Continent.

Being able to manipulate fate did not mean he had mastered the rules of fate.

At present, Han Li could indeed influence fate's energy, but for as long as he could remember, he had realized that there was no such rule officially present in this world.

Fate's power could alter the course of life for all beings, but there was no corresponding foundational rule perhaps this was his true path forward? Han Li had considered this possibility more than once.

And yet, he always felt as if he were lingering at the threshold.

Ever since he first saw fate's power with his own eyes, he had been studying it constantly. But no matter how much effort he put in, he could not comprehend its nature.

Aside from improving his luck finding more money on the ground, having an almost 100% drop rate on soul bones whenever he killed a soul beast it felt as if fate's power existed outside of life and the rules themselves. It drove him insane.

Cursing was one thing, but the work still had to be done.

Under Gu Yue's surprised gaze, Han Li linked their fate's energies together.

"A payment. I don't like owing favors. This way, even if things go wrong in the future, I can sell you all out with a clear conscience."

His voice echoed in Gu Yue's mind. At the same time, the rule of creation before her seemed to become clearer she felt an innate sense of familiarity with it.

He was indeed not a conventional plane master. Normally, a plane master might have certain privileges, but they would never have access to abilities like this. At most, their divine power would be equivalent to that of a second tier god.

A realization flashed through Gu Yue's mind one that was immediately transmitted to Han Li as well.

She had finally seen it. And she would not waste this opportunity. Next time, Han Li might not be willing to do this again. She knew how much he disliked soul fusion.

Gu Yue felt a slight sense of confusion.

She couldn't understand why he was so averse to this it was highly beneficial for improving strength. And besides… it was actually quite comfortable.

But before she could dwell on the thought further, her consciousness fully immersed itself in the comprehension of the creation rule.

Han Li received this last fleeting emotion from her before she completely focused on her insights he even detected a faint trace of hidden grievance.

Han Li fell silent.

This was a fundamental difference in their perspectives, shaped by their respective personalities. What could he even say?

In Gu Yue's worldview, beyond strength and bloodline, concepts like morals and ethics held little significance. But Han Li was different he had his own values, his own way of seeing the world.

Now that her influence over his thoughts had diminished to its lowest level, he finally felt comfortable again. His chaotic thoughts settled, and instead, what flowed in from Gu Yue was a steady stream of her growing insights into the rule of creation.

Han Li was not surprised. He focused all his effort on isolating his own thoughts and emotions from influencing her.

Even though he hadn't read every version of Douluo's history before transmigrating, he had absorbed a lot of relevant information.

Her very existence was already proof of the rule of creation.

The Dragon God's own divine core contained the essence of creation. If Gu Yue couldn't comprehend this rule, that would be the biggest joke of all.

But up until now, she had remained heavily wounded, stubbornly focusing only on the elemental powers she had inherited on the surface.

No

How did she suddenly realize this now?

If her goal was recovery, shouldn't she have considered it much earlier? After all, Han Li had already provided her with faith energy and celestial energy. Logically, in order to fight against the Divine Realm, she should have followed the plan Han Li had originally envisioned focusing her opportunity on mastering a rule with greater destructive power.

Han Li's pupils slightly widened as he absentmindedly looked up at the massive, interconnected cloud of fate above them, now far larger than before.

Had he already started to be influenced without realizing it?

How amusing...

At that moment, he noticed a subtle change occurring within the power of fate.

Golden mist churned like cotton being spun in a loom. Then, strand by strand, golden threads wove together into an intricate net, forming into fabric that draped over his soul.

Fate.

The word surfaced in his mind naturally, as if it had always been there.

He closed his eyes, and at that very moment, the golden threads intertwined even more actively before rapidly fading into a colorless state, seemingly merging into his body.

Meanwhile, Gu Yue, still immersed in her comprehension of the power of creation, remained completely unaware of the phenomenon.

Perhaps it lasted only for a brief moment, or maybe a long time had passed when Han Li opened his eyes again, his expression carried a trace of deep thought.

It felt as though he had grasped something… yet at the same time, nothing at all.

As the golden threads of fate fully merged into his body, his entire life in this world replayed before his eyes every experience, every decision, every interaction flashing by in a series of vivid images.

Unlike his past recollections, however, this time, he could see golden threads wrapping around and connecting to every individual he had encountered. Whenever he moved closer to them, the threads would distort and shift slightly, the effect becoming more pronounced the nearer he got.

When he had publicly shared the simplified version of Xuantian Gong, he saw himself stepping outside of his physical existence suddenly observing everything from a celestial perspective, looking down upon the entire planet.

And at that moment, even the world itself had begun to change.

Two distinct regions remained dim Han Li knew precisely what they were. One was the future Sun Moon Continent. The other was the vast ocean, which he had deliberately ignored. But even above the ocean, scattered lights had begun to flicker into existence.

Then, the vision faded.

Han Li's lips curled into an involuntary smirk. At that moment, he had the overwhelming urge to laugh a wild, unrestrained Uchiha style laughter.

But he held himself back. This kind of laughter should be saved for when everything was set in stone.

Feeling the constant surge of enlightenment flowing from Gu Yue, Han Li glanced at her. Even in their fused spiritual state, her soul still bore a furrowed brow, clearly deep in concentration.

His eyes flickered, and suddenly, a blood red token engraved with the character "Han" drifted out from within his soul and gently pressed against Gu Yue's forehead.

Her soul trembled instinctively an innate response of fear. She instinctively shrank back, but upon recognizing Han Li's energy, and noticing that it contained no traces of Shura's divine power, her expression brightened.

Then, her soul wrapped around the token and refocused entirely on the boundless power of creation unfolding before her.

Han Li's Slaughter God Domain did contain traces of Shura's power. Although he had purified it through sacrifice, transforming it into a force entirely under his control, it still carried weak traces of slaughter and judgment as fundamental rule forces.

While not as direct as the power of destruction, slaughter inherently opposed the force of life. And now, Han Li was deliberately using it to provoke resistance from the power of creation.

This deliberate agitation would create larger ripples in the rules making it easier for Gu Yue to grasp their essence.

Under these conditions, Han Li could also slightly manipulate the power of destruction, but doing so would dramatically increase the strain on his soul, significantly shortening the time Gu Yue had to comprehend the rules.

Additionally, there was another factor: destruction had no lasting presence within the Douluo Continent. Even with his ability to obscure his presence, he wasn't certain if invoking destruction would attract its attention.

By contrast, he had used the Slaughter God Domain multiple times already Shura hadn't bothered to respond. It was, in essence, hidden in plain sight.

Gu Yue, now actively drawing upon the force of slaughter to probe the power of creation, had a gleam in her eyes she was close. She could almost touch it.

From Han Li's perspective, her very existence was constantly resonating with the power of creation, drawing closer to it without her even realizing it.

"So immersed in the forest, yet unable to see the trees."

Was this also a manifestation of fate?

Han Li smiled, watching as their souls remained entwined her increasing insights flowing ceaselessly into his consciousness. He could feel her joy.

Meanwhile, his own mind had distanced itself from their fusion, operating independently devoid of any emotional feedback that might reach her.

Though he still could not fully control fate's power, he was now using it passively. Han Li had already begun experimenting with the changes within himself.

It was… a peculiar sensation.

In the next moment, Han Li intentionally withdrew from this detached state, once again immersing himself in their merged souls sharing in Gu Yue's exhilaration as she grew closer to her goal.
