Chapter 189: Shield, Then Tang San Can Only Suffer
The group looked at the master and disciple's identical mischievous smiles, finding them hard to look at directly. Clearly, they were from the Spirit Hall, which worshipped the Angel God, yet the two of them always gave off a villainous vibe.
"Do we need to stay a few days to lure that man in black and get rid of him?"
Qing Luan suggested cautiously.
"No need. When we leave, just have Sister Yan and the old man reset the poison formation. No one else can find this place."
Han Li shook his head. Once he left, the consciousness of the plane would seal this place again. By then, let alone Tang Hao, even if the entire Clear Sky Sect came in a group, they would be misled to other locations. Entering here would be nearly impossible.
"Don't worry, just leave it to Xiao Li."
Guang Ling chimed in as well. If he had been worried about Han Li before, now if Tang Hao really showed up, Han Li would probably play him to death.
"Alright, then let Xiao Li handle it."
Qing Luan thought for a moment, considered Han Li's combat strength, and recalled how that man had fled in panic just from sensing his aura. Plus, Guang Ling clearly knew something, so she agreed without hesitation.
"Alright, should we tidy up this place a bit?"
Dugu Bo, seeing that they had finished their discussion, pointed at the heavily damaged basin with a heartbroken expression.
This was a top quality medicinal field! Fortunately, they had already collected the precious herbs in advance.
As for the seeds, they were still buried in the soil, but given the current state of the land, they would need to be checked again.
"I overlooked this point."
Han Li glanced around and felt a bit of a headache.
This was a miscalculation on his part he hadn't expected that condensing his soul core would cause such a massive commotion. Most of the environmental damage was due to the interference of spatial elements, resulting in this devastation.
"Then let's stay another day to tidy things up. We'll still need this place in the future."
Without much thought, Han Li made the decision. He had originally planned to leave after today anyway.
The group nodded in agreement. Under Dugu Bo's guidance, the three women began checking the previously planted medicinal seeds, while Guang Ling and Qing Luan worked on clearing the scattered stones and leveling the ground.
As for Han Li, he activated his Elemental Vision and domain, stabilizing the surrounding energy to avoid affecting the others.
Since extracting the soul bone from the skeleton beneath the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, the energy concentration here had actually decreased.
Fortunately, he hadn't taken everything only the soul bone. The intact skeleton and some residual blood still remained below. Maintaining the current state wasn't a big problem, though its effectiveness had slightly weakened.
While refining the surrounding energy, Han Li silently comprehended the laws of ice and fire.
Due to the gaze of the Divine Realm, and since the others were unaware of divine matters, Han Li had refrained from mentioning certain things.
After obtaining the Ice and Fire Dragon King's soul bone, what he previously called his "harvest" was actually just a minor gain. His greatest acquisition was the two beings' broken divinities and, after purging their resentment, the pure spiritual will that contained insights into the laws of ice and fire.
The former gave him the ability to accumulate power slowly and then break through realms rapidly, while the latter though understanding laws wasn't too difficult with the plane's consciousness present still saved him a lot of time.
Overall, this was his greatest gain from the plan. Everything else was merely what he intentionally showed the Divine Realm.
With this setup, he had displayed his potential for self deification. In the eyes of the gods, he had fully positioned himself against the soul beasts. Going forward, when he stirred up trouble across the continent to gather faith, the Divine Realm's scrutiny of his "child's play" should be much less detailed.
Han Li silently calculated his next moves while increasing his pace.
Soon, the group finished their tasks and gathered again. Looking at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well basin, which had regained some of its former vibrancy, they all showed satisfied expressions.
"Since it's already past noon, why don't we just prepare dinner now? After all, once we leave tomorrow, we're heading straight back."
Guang Ling suggested.
"Good idea, it's rare for Master to be in the mood for this."
Han Li immediately agreed. With everything taken care of and everyone's strength having improved significantly, a celebration was in order.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's start."
Guang Ling glanced at the group still standing around and urged them on.
And so, in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, the group got busy. Even Tian Meng, whose nest hadn't been fully built yet, was dragged into labor Dugu Bo took him out to hunt.
By sunset, when the last golden rays shone across the land, the group and the beast finally began their celebration. Laughter, songs, and the aroma of food filled the basin, painting a beautiful picture.
It wasn't until deep into the night that the basin gradually quieted down. Everyone returned to their stone chambers some to cultivate, others to sleep.
As for Tian Meng, he simply sprawled in the basin, using the sky as his blanket and the earth as his bed, drifting into a peaceful slumber.
For soul beasts, sleeping in the wild was perfectly normal. Besides, here, he didn't have to worry about other soul beasts attacking, so he slept soundly.
The next morning, the group didn't emerge from their chambers until around ten. By then, everything was packed and ready to go.
Meanwhile, Tian Meng was still grunting away, working on building his nest.
Han Li chatted privately with Tian Meng for a while before saying his goodbyes and leaving with the others. It wasn't until they had finished resetting the poison formation and were about to leave the Sunset Forest that Guang Ling suddenly remembered something and pointed inside.
"That big bug won't starve to death, right? And what if it tries to steal the medicinal herbs?"
Hearing his master's words, Han Li couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head. "Don't worry, Master. I left it a backdoor, and with its current ice attribute strength, as long as it doesn't court death, passing through here safely won't be too difficult."
"As for the herbs, do you think it has the guts to steal them?"
"It definitely doesn't."
Guang Ling recalled Tian Meng's behavior and, knowing its past experiences and cautious nature, shook his head with amusement.
"When you put it that way, there really isn't a better place for it. No wonder it looked so excited."
The group laughed and chatted as they walked out of the Sunset Forest in no time.
"Alright, we won't be heading to Heaven Dou City. Let's part ways here. Remember to write back."
Standing on the plains outside the forest, Guang Ling glanced at the four of them and casually announced his farewell.
"Aren't you going to see Qian Renxue?" Han Li asked instinctively.
"No need. Just send her a message for me. I've already spent quite some time out here, and there are things I need to report to your Grandmaster Uncle. After that, I'll be going into seclusion."
"I don't want to delay any longer and then have you surpass me just like that."
Guang Ling shook his head, declining the idea, but not without a self deprecating remark at the end.
He had already said everything he needed to last night in his conversation with Han Li. Going back to Heaven Dou City served no real purpose, and letting Han Li spend more time with Xiao Xue would be a good thing.
"Alright then, we'll part ways here."
Han Li glanced at the others for confirmation, and upon receiving their agreement, he responded.
"That's that, then. We're off, you guys take care on your way back."
With that, the three Title Douluo spread their wings, confirmed their direction, and shot into the sky, vanishing from sight in an instant.
"Alright, let's head back too."
Watching them disappear, Han Li and the three women finally turned and started their journey home.
In the new mansion in Heaven Dou City.
After returning, Han Li greeted the three women before heading straight into his room.
Inside his mental space, Han Li stared at his "obedient son," the small glowing sphere that now had a few more intricate patterns. His mind was racing.
After a moment, he spoke.
"You're saying you're going back into hibernation?"
Hearing his question, the small light sphere floated to his feet.
"Yes, Father. Your recent advancement has once again triggered my evolution. While I can still hold on for a while, I'd prefer to enter hibernation as soon as possible."
"I have a feeling that when I awaken again, I will have complete control over all my authority and will be able to help you even more."
The little light sphere spoke sincerely.
"Alright, you can enter hibernation now."
Han Li tapped the armrest of his chair, making his decision.
"Praise be to you, my great Father."
The small sphere excitedly flew around Han Li, expressing its joy.
After chatting for a while longer, the small sphere withdrew its consciousness and vanished from the mental space, entering its deep slumber.
Han Li, however, didn't leave immediately. Instead, he began experimenting with various functions, though he was still a little unskilled.
Although the consciousness of the plane had fallen into slumber, its related authorities had now been transferred to Han Li.
No strictly speaking, Han Li had always held the highest authority, while the plane's consciousness was merely an administrator he had assigned.
Previously, his strength had been too weak, and his understanding of the rules too vague, preventing him from accessing them directly.
But now, with a divine spark though a broken one and mastery over his own ice and fire origin though only at an entry level he was undoubtedly qualified to take control himself.
"Honestly, there's not much difference."
As he clumsily fumbled through the previously smooth and seamless functions managed by his "obedient son," Han Li reassured himself, despite the sweat forming on his forehead.
Everyone struggles as a beginner, but at least it still works, right?
"Next, I should stir up some trouble to make them temporarily shift their focus. I have to admit, these prying gazes are getting quite annoying."
Now that he had taken control of the authority, Han Li could clearly feel the Divine Realm's attention on him. Although still somewhat vague, it was enough to irritate him.
"Don't blame me, brother. Tang San, since you were chosen by Asura, no one is more suitable than you as my scapegoat. You're the perfect distraction, so you'll just have to suffer a bit."
Han Li murmured to himself, feeling absolutely no guilt about the decision.
"Faith, combined with authority… I'm really starting to feel like some kind of scammer deity. Maybe I should even hold a divine conference or something?"
Han Li chuckled at himself before exiting his mental space.
