Chapter 187: Breakthrough and Gains, A Leap in Power
A terrifying energy vortex swirled above the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well, forming a dual colored tornado that even shattered the clouds above.
The immense wind pressure pressed Han Li's clothes tightly against his body, and his long hair stood on end, making him look like a demonic god.
With the seal of the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well personally broken by him, this scene was now visible to the gods in the Divine Realm Hub.
Destruction frowned as he observed the scene through the light screen. "This is the burial ground of the Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King? What is he doing?"
Shura glanced at him and coldly replied, "Just keep watching."
Meanwhile, Rong Nianbing, who had yet to leave, watched Han Li's actions in silence. However, deep inside, he was even more satisfied. Another being with dual ice and fire origins there was no way he was going to let this one slip away.
Above the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well, the pale red orb continued to shrink as the surrounding space collapsed inward. Had Han Li not had the Evil God Hook, he would have been pulled in as well.
The scale of his creation had already far surpassed Qing Luan's attempt, nearly three times larger.
However, unlike Qing Luan, Han Li had the direct energy supply of the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well for his soul power, and for his spiritual power, he had the vast spiritual essence of the Tianmeng Ice Silkworm as his support. There was no need to worry about running out of energy.
More spatial cracks emerged around him, with massive amounts of space energy being absorbed by the now fully solidified pale red orb. Once it reached its absolute limit, Han Li finally stopped feeding it more energy.
Watching the constantly spinning pale red orb, Han Li smiled. At this moment, nothing could affect him anymore the lingering resentments had all been sealed within the orb.
Feeling the state of the orb's interior, Han Li's lips curled into a smirk. He poured all of his energy into his martial soul, causing the Ice Fire Dragon Bow to tremble violently, as if it was struggling to bear the load.
He glanced at the bow and the orb before slightly parting his lips and softly uttering four words:
"Martial Soul True Body."
In an instant, a red white domain expanded outward, slowly rotating as it covered the entire basin.
Above the orb, a nearly hundred meter long Ice Fire Dragon Bow radiated dazzling light. As the air quivered, a crimson pillar of light surged once again. From a distance, it seemed as though the energy within had formed a perfect cycle, illuminating the now tranquil Ice Fire Yin Yang Well.
Divine Realm Hub
Destruction stared at the blood red screen and softly muttered, "A sacrifice."
"What an interesting boy," Evil mused. "He actually managed to come up with such a method. Apart from my orb, he purified all of the energy through the rules, converting it into his own origin power."
"Shura's domain, my Evil God power, Angel's faith, the remnants of the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings' wills and divine power, along with all the miscellaneous abilities he has accumulated they have all become auxiliary forces to his Ice Fire Origin."
Evil shot a glance at Shura, who remained silent, and couldn't help but feel thrilled.
"He shouldn't need any inheritance now. With the assistance of the Plane Will, his body and spirit will begin transforming toward godhood. Even though it will be a slow process on the Douluo Continent, he's still young he has plenty of time. He might not even need a divine position."
"As for the two girls by his side, the one with ice and the other with fire I'll take them. They will jointly inherit my God of Emotions position. Any objections?"
Rong Nianbing had abandoned his previous plans the moment he saw the blood red pillar rise once again. He now realized Han Li didn't need his help at all, so he turned his attention to Shui Bing'er and Dugu Yan.
He had initially intended to leave, but who knew if he might return one day? Now that Han Li's potential had been revealed, he decided to extend a favor. After all, to these divine kings, his god position wasn't particularly significant.
"Do as you wish, but they must meet the minimum qualifications before you can formally approach them."
The one who spoke was Shura, surprisingly showing support for Rong Nianbing's decision.
"Fine, we'll do as Shura suggests."
The gods exchanged glances before nodding in agreement. Since even Shura had no objections to their Slaughter God domains, there was no reason for them to oppose this.
"Alright, then it's settled. By the way, just watching is getting a bit boring. How about some snacks?"
Now that he had secured what he wanted, Rong Nianbing was in a great mood and smiled as he looked at the others. He had an itch to cook.
Above the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well, the blood red pillar of light gradually faded, and the pale red orb vanished as well, leaving only a colossal bow suspended in midair, radiating an overwhelming presence.
A streak of pale red light flashed, and Han Li reappeared mid air, the bow's projection vanishing along with him.
"I've finally reached this step."
Han Li exhaled deeply, his face breaking into a satisfied smile.
Stepping down from the sky as if walking on solid ground, he landed gently. Looking at the ravaged Ice Fire Yin Yang Well, he felt no regret at all.
"Han Li!"
Hearing a familiar voice, Han Li turned to see Guang Ling leading the group, waving as they quickly made their way toward him.
With just a few leaps, they arrived at his side, curiously examining him.
Noticing that aside from his slightly tattered clothing, he seemed unharmed, they all collectively breathed a sigh of relief.
"Looks like it was a success. But where's Tianmeng? Did it die when we weren't paying attention?"
Guang Ling looked around but saw no trace of the big silkworm and casually asked.
The energy here was still extremely chaotic. He hadn't used his spiritual power to probe the surroundings, as touching the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well's energy recklessly could lead to injuries.
"It's fine. I threw it into the stone chamber earlier. It should be waking up soon, though by the time it does, it might not be the same species anymore."
Han Li was in an exceptionally good mood, even his tone was noticeably lighter.
"That's not important. How are you feeling? You must have suffered quite a bit after the sacrifice. How long will you need to recover?" Guang Ling immediately put Tianmeng out of his mind. Compared to Han Li, it was insignificant his earlier question had just been casual.
"I had the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well and Tianmeng as my energy reserves, so I barely got injured. A little meditation will be enough to recover. Don't forget, I also have the Blue Silver Emperor's right leg bone."
As Han Li spoke, his right leg began to glow, enveloping his entire body.
"Huh? Why does your soul bone look different than before?"
Dugu Bo, who had previously seen Han Li use his soul bone abilities in the Slaughter City, immediately noticed the anomaly.
Previously, when Han Li used his soul bone, his right leg emitted a bright blue light. Now, while it still radiated a blue glow filled with life energy, there was also a faint red hue flickering at its outer edges.
"Just lucky. I took advantage of my breakthrough to Soul Sage and the formation of my soul core to fully grasp the essence of my martial soul."
Han Li responded modestly, but at the same time, he transformed his dantian into a pure elemental state.
Within his dantian, a pale red orb spun continuously. The shadows of a bow and a blade alternated over its surface before, to the astonishment of those present, they transformed into frost and flames. Eventually, the two merged, becoming a faint red energy.
"You actually managed to accomplish what you told me back then? You truly achieved full elemental transformation?"
Guang Ling's eyes widened as he stared at Han Li's display, blurting out his shock.
"Yeah."
Seeing Guang Ling's expression, Han Li extended his right hand, and a long spear materialized in his grasp, which he then handed over to the group.
Guang Ling eagerly grabbed it and began to examine it closely.
"While this is possible, it's not particularly efficient. It's ultimately not as strong as a true martial soul. Apart from inheriting the extreme attributes, the various elements retain the effects of the original martial soul, and in some cases, they're even weakened. Plus, it's not something that can be widely replicated."
"It's a bit of a gimmick neither here nor there, really."
After the spear had been passed around and returned to Guang Ling, Han Li shook his head and took it back.
Guang Ling rolled his eyes at him, feeling an urge to curse but holding back.
"Your martial soul evolved too, right? This spear's strength isn't any lower than your previous Ice Fire Dragon Bow."
Qing Luan looked at Han Li and asked.
"You're right, uncle. My martial soul has reached the divine level, just like my senior uncle."
As he spoke, Han Li's hand glowed, revealing the form of a bow.
This time, the Ice Fire Dragon Bow finally lived up to its name.
Two divine dragons floated in midair, their bodies twisting and writhing as they formed the shape of a bow. At their connected heads, a faint red phantom served as the bow grip, while their tails were linked by an almost imperceptible thread of pale red energy.
Upon closer inspection, the dragons' phantom images continuously opened their mouths in silent roars, resembling living creatures. If not for the floating soul rings at the front, no one would believe this was a martial soul.
"Not bad. You at least know how to restrain its aura. Otherwise, we'd all be on the ground right now."
Guang Ling averted his gaze slightly and sighed.
Experiencing the evolved Ice Fire Dragon Bow up close, the group instinctively took several steps back to free themselves from its suppressive aura. And this was with Han Li suppressing most of its power, only revealing a small portion for them to sense.
"But why do your soul rings look so different now?"
Guang Ling pointed at the rings floating before Han Li's martial soul, completely baffled by the fact that none of them were the same color.
"Tianmeng's soul bone ability allows me to freely disguise my rings. This is just one of its applications."
Han Li playfully cycled through different soul ring colors, making them flash like an LED light show, cycling through all the colors of the rainbow.
"Enough playing around! Show me what a million year soul ring looks like."
Guang Ling smacked Han Li's hand, stopping his little game of flashing lights, and voiced the question they were all most eager to have answered.
"Uh… okay."
His playful mood abruptly cut short, Han Li gave an embarrassed chuckle and dispersed the camouflage on his rings.
Pale red, black, black, black, red, black, platinum an arrangement of soul rings with a striking visual impact appeared before them.
"Well, today's been an eye opener."
Guang Ling, utterly speechless, stared at the first and last soul rings for a long while before finally squeezing out a sentence.
"Tianmeng's soul ring was originally platinum in color, and my innate soul ring surpassed a hundred thousand years after this breakthrough. The rest of my soul rings will gradually exceed the hundred thousand year mark as I continue to grow."
Han Li pointed at the faint red glows that had begun appearing on the black rings, offering a halfhearted explanation, hoping for some understanding.
It wasn't like he had chosen this himself. That's why he had been hiding the colors of his rings in the first place but they just had to see it for themselves.
That said, no matter how hard he tried to suppress it, the corners of his mouth just wouldn't stay down.
"By the way, Han Li, what level are you at now?"
Dugu Bo, feeling utterly overwhelmed by everything he had just witnessed, suddenly thought of a new question.
"My level isn't actually that high, just 77. Most of the energy was used to enhance my soul rings and soul bones."
"I overestimated Tianmeng. Its soul power and spiritual energy were of such poor quality… I thought I'd at least break through to Soul Douluo in one go."
This time, Han Li was genuinely a bit frustrated. Damn you, Tianmeng!
