Chapter 153: The 100,000 Year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone

Han Li, who neither paid attention to nor cared about the commotion he had caused, had already returned to the inn.

"Back so soon? Judging by your expression, you must've gotten something good."

Dugu Bo looked at him in surprise. Han Li had only been gone for a little over an hour.

"I did say it was 'Nature's Gift.' Of course, it wouldn't take long."

Han Li replied with a smile, then glanced around at the otherwise empty room. "Where are Sister Yan and the others?"

"They're all cultivating in their rooms. No one spares any time to keep this old man company."

Although Dugu Bo's words sounded like complaints, his tone and expression revealed his satisfaction.

He had witnessed his granddaughter's growth over the past few years, as well as Xiu'er's and Shui Bing'er's. Perhaps influenced by Han Li, all of them were extremely dedicated to cultivation.

"Sometimes, it feels like something is constantly chasing you, pushing you to grow stronger as fast as possible. And it's not just you those girls are the same."

"If I had your strength at your age, I would have been showing off all over the continent."

Dugu Bo half joked.

"Maybe something really is chasing me."

Han Li smiled as he spoke, telling the truth.

Dugu Bo chuckled, assuming Han Li was just playing along with his joke.

"Speaking of Nature's Gift, let me guess you didn't happen to find another place like the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, did you?"

Dugu Bo eyed Han Li suspiciously. Knowing him, it didn't seem impossible.

"Not this time. There are definitely more places like that on the continent, but for now, I wouldn't dare go near them." Han Li answered honestly.

"…So there really are more places like that?"

Dugu Bo was stunned. He suddenly felt like he didn't know this continent at all.

"Of course. But forget you even the Grand Worshipper wouldn't make it out alive. Still want to know?"

Han Li raised an eyebrow at him.

"Nope. I still want to live a few more centuries."

Dugu Bo immediately shook his head. He had no intention of throwing his life away.

"You're surprisingly clear headed. I thought you'd be dying to ask."

Han Li laughed. If this were his master, he would've been bombarded with questions by now.

"I'm not your master. I'm not that curious. Besides, I'm waiting for grandkids. Don't forget what we agreed one of your children with Yan Yan must have the surname Dugu. Martial soul doesn't matter."

Dugu Bo gave Han Li a sly wink. Despite his appearance as a handsome middle aged man, his expression made him look rather shameless.

"Aren't you a bit too impatient?"

Han Li looked at him, feeling utterly helpless.

"No rush, no rush. Just making sure you're still on board."

This wasn't the first time Dugu Bo had brought up the topic. Now that he no longer had to worry about the toxicity in his body, he had too much free time, so he focused on this instead.

"What exactly did you find?"

Dugu Bo finally remembered the real topic and turned back to Han Li, giving up on guessing.

"Let's go to their room. That way, I won't have to explain twice."

Han Li headed toward the room where the three girls were staying. Since they were in a suite, he didn't need to call them individually.

"Good idea."

Dugu Bo followed behind, knocking on the door.

After a short wait, the door opened, and they both stepped inside before Han Li sealed the room with soul power.

"Why so mysterious?"

The girls curiously gathered around him, eager to see what he had brought back.

Under their watchful eyes, Han Li flipped his left hand, and a soul bone instantly appeared.

The moment it materialized, everyone's attention was drawn to it. The soul bone was a transparent blue gold, sparkling like stardust within.

They had all seen soul bones before in fact, each of them possessed one. But this was different. Not only was it perfectly intact, but their instincts told them that this right leg bone… seemed to be alive.

"What kind of soul beast did this soul bone come from? It's so powerful and unique. Ordinary soul bones wouldn't make you react this way."

Dugu Bo examined it closely before looking up at Han Li.

"Blue Silver Grass."

Han Li casually tossed the soul bone to the three girls, letting them inspect it. They always loved shiny things like this.

"Blue Silver Grass? Blue Silver Grass can grow to this level? And the life aura is so pure."

Dugu Bo was stunned. He had seen thousand year old Blue Silver Grass before, but had never paid attention to anything beyond that.

"Of course. Blue Silver Grass is the most widespread plant on the continent. With such a massive population, it's only natural that a few extraordinary ones emerge."

Han Li explained with a smile.

"That does make sense. Even a chicken coop can produce a phoenix. I guess it's not impossible for Blue Silver Grass to evolve into a high level soul beast."

Dugu Bo stroked his chin out of habit only to realize that he had long since shaved his beard.

He reluctantly lowered his hand and turned to Han Li. "But considering you made a special trip for this, it can't just be because it's rare, right? I can sense that it contains an immense amount of energy."

"Of course not."

Han Li glanced at the soul bone the three girls were still examining, a faint smile appearing on his face. "After all, this is a 100,000 year soul bone."

"100,000 years?!"

Dugu Bo's voice instinctively rose, and the three girls, having overheard, subconsciously handled the soul bone with even more care.

"That was way too risky. Why didn't you ask me to come with you? Do you even realize how dangerous that was? Even if it's just Blue Silver Grass, any soul beast that reaches 100,000 years is far from ordinary. If something had happened to you, how would I explain it to Yan Yan or your master?"

After the initial shock, Dugu Bo's expression quickly darkened as he looked at Han Li with a serious gaze.

Han Li hadn't expected this reaction. He was briefly stunned but soon chuckled. "Grandfather, you misunderstand. I didn't have to fight for it. Have you forgotten? I told you this was 'Nature's Gift.'"

"Don't tell me you just picked it up?"

Dugu Bo looked at him with a skeptical expression, as if Han Li were trying to fool a child.

"You might not believe it, but I really did pick it up. I was just following my instincts, flying around the mountains at random. I got tired, landed to rest, and happened to find it in a cave."

Han Li put on an expression that practically screamed this is exactly what happened, leaving the others speechless.

"But," he continued, "I did learn about its origin inside that cave."

Han Li retrieved the soul bone, tossing it lightly in his hand.

"Grandfather, do you remember the incident from over a decade ago, when the previous Pope of Spirit Hall pursued Tang Hao? Do you recall what Spirit Hall's official statement was at the time?"

Dugu Bo thought for a moment before replying hesitantly, "Colluding with soul beasts? If I remember correctly, that was the initial justification. But wasn't that just an excuse Qian Xunji made up?"

"No, not at all. In fact, Qian Xunji was telling the truth."

Han Li tossed the soul bone in his palm again, its radiance shimmering.

"A soul beast… a soul bone… Don't tell me it's what I think it is? I always thought that was just a myth."

Dugu Bo's expression shifted to disbelief, and the three girls also widened their eyes slightly.

"Congratulations, you've just confirmed yet another legend to be true. This soul bone belonged to Tang Hao's wife the transformed soul beast who perished back then."

Han Li smiled at them, confirming their suspicions.

"It's real… Han Li, do you think there might still be other 100,000 year soul beasts hiding among humans? Should I go looking for them?"

Dugu Bo's first reaction made Han Li stare at him in disbelief.

He couldn't help but laugh wryly. "Grandfather, you really think 100,000 year soul beasts are just lying around waiting for you to find them?"

Hearing that, Dugu Bo awkwardly chuckled, realizing he had been too optimistic.

"So what about Tang Hao? Was he there too? No wonder you told me to suppress my aura. If we had run into each other, a fight would have been inevitable."

After his initial excitement faded, Dugu Bo caught the deeper meaning behind Han Li's words. His expression shifted, clearly troubled.

After all, Tang Hao's past battles were nothing short of legendary. Dugu Bo had only recently advanced to Rank 94, and if a conflict had occurred, he wasn't entirely sure he could protect the younger ones.

"Yeah, I only sensed his presence afterward. But he disappeared again, so he's not our concern for now."

Han Li didn't elaborate further, and his words allowed Dugu Bo to relax a little.

"Then you should absorb the soul bone as soon as possible. We don't want any accidents. I'll stand guard for you."

Dugu Bo urged him seriously.

"I was thinking the same thing."

Han Li nodded. He did need this soul bone to further strengthen his body quickly many of his future plans relied on it.

"Alright, you girls should focus on cultivation too. I'll handle the watch."

Dugu Bo turned to the three girls.

"Mm."

They glanced at Han Li before stepping aside to train. If Han Li was about to take another step forward, they needed to work even harder to catch up.

Meanwhile, Han Li wasted no time. He casually picked a spot to sit down, placed the soul bone against his right leg, and guided his soul power to interact with it.

Buzz.

A faint humming sound filled the air as Han Li felt his right leg tremble slightly.

Immediately afterward, a refreshing energy seeped into his leg from all directions. The crystalline blue gold soul bone quietly dissolved, transforming into countless streams of blue golden energy that enveloped his right leg.

It felt cool and soothing completely different from Han Li's own domineering soul power. The energy from the Blue Silver Emperor right leg bone was subtle and nurturing, yet incredibly resilient.

Under Han Li's control, the blue golden energy quickly spread throughout his body, nourishing his meridians and physique. Even his bones were being refined.

There was no resistance whatsoever. Not only was this soul bone essentially a condensed form of pure life energy, but it had also been left behind willingly for her husband and son. How could it possibly harm him?

Feeling both his body and soul power rising rapidly under the influence of the soul bone, Han Li sighed internally and actively accelerated the fusion process.
