Chapter 6 - What is this im feeling

He was Kuroda Ryūhei. Kenji instead of being worried or afraid he smiled and threw his shirt away standing half naked with his eyes now black and white pupil.

Kuroda Ryūhei seeing the eyes remembered his fight with Gun.

Kenji then disappeared and now the one flying was Kurodo.

Kurodo didn't know when that boy moved and when he got bit by a powerful kick.

"It seems Yamazaki grew another small shiro oni."

Kenji looked at the lying Kuroda and then his eyes moved towards Neko. He said "well you got your answer girl. Move out now."

During this time Kuroda got up and looked towards Kenji. "Well this is getting interesting."

Kenji glared at him with his black eyes.

Kenji stepped in fast. A straight punch landed clean on Kuroda's chest. Then a quick roundhouse to the thigh.

Kuroda threw a punch, but Kenji sidestepped and twisted his arm, flipping him over onto the ground.

Kuroda rolled back up, growling. He rushed again.

Kenji blocked, grabbed his collar, and threw him over the hip with one smooth motion. Kuroda slammed into the ground, again.

He got up slower this time.

Kenji waited. Calm. Focused.

Kuroda threw a heavy punch—Kenji dodged and hit his neck with a sharp hand strike, followed by a low sweep. Kuroda dropped.

"Damn…" Kuroda muttered.

Kenji stepped back. "Let's end this."

Kuroda smirked through blood. "It isn't as easy as you thought, little shiro oni."

Then Kuroda charged in with a quick punch.

Kenji didn't move.

He blocked it with one hand, grabbed Kuroda's wrist, and pulled him forward into a sharp knee. Kuroda doubled over—Kenji followed with an elbow to the back.

Kuroda dropped to one knee.

Kenji didn't wait.

He kicked Kuroda across the face, sending him sliding sideways across the dirt.

Kuroda struggled to his feet, coughing.

Kenji walked toward him slowly. "You're too slow."

Kenji then slammed his fist into Kuroda's gut. Kuroda bent over—Kenji grabbed the back of his head and brought up his knee again, clean into his jaw.

Kuroda collapsed.

He tried to get up, hands shaking.

Kenji just stared down at him, quiet.

Kuroda forced himself upright—and Kenji instantly struck again. A low kick to the leg, then a punch to the ribs, then a palm to the chest that knocked Kuroda flat on his back.

The ground cracked under the force.

Kuroda lay there, gasping for breath, eyes unfocused.

Kenji looked at him once, he said, "no wonder you lost to brother. You are still weak." He then looked at Neko.

"It's over."

Kuroda didn't move this time.

Just silence.

Kenji then turned to exit and left the building.

Neko didn't say anything, looking at the retreating Kenji until he disappeared. Then an evil smile crept on her face, she thought 'well Mr. Kenji, aren't you one interesting fellow?'

Scene changed

_____

It was midnight.

The city shimmered under the glow of streetlights, neon signs flickering through the heavy rain. Water cascaded from rooftops, pooled along sidewalks, and painted reflections across the streets.

Kenji stood at the edge of the road, staring up at the sky as the downpour continued without mercy.

He sighed.

"I hate rain."

With nowhere to go, he began walking through it, hands in his pockets, hair and clothes already soaked. The sound of raindrops echoed all around him, a dull, endless rhythm.

Then suddenly—it stopped.

He blinked. The rain was still falling around him, but not a single drop touched his skin now.

Confused, he looked up.

An umbrella.

He turned slowly—and saw her.

A girl stood beside him, holding the umbrella over both of them. She had soft black hair that framed her pale face, thin-rimmed glasses slightly fogged from the cold, and beneath them—eyes like the ocean* deep, calm, and unblinking. The kind of eyes that could pull you under if you stared too long.

Kenji froze, caught off guard.

His throat tightened. Words refused to come.

The girl tilted her head slightly, her voice quiet and curious.

"You okay?"

Kenji just kept staring, lost in the deep blue of her eyes, unaware of everything around him—the cold, the rain, even time.

Then he blinked, snapping back to reality.

He stepped away slightly, his voice uncertain.

"What are you doing?"

The girl smiled.

"Saving you from catching a cold."

Something twisted in Kenji's chest—a strange, sharp flutter. That smile… it wasn't just kind. It felt like it reached straight through his skin.

"Is this some kinda black magic?"

"What the hell is this feeling?"

He looked at her more carefully now.

"Why would you help me?"

She gave a small shrug, her expression calm and sincere.

"Do you need a reason to help someone?

Then, without hesitation, she took a step closer and extended the umbrella fully over him.

Kenji hesitated… then stepped back under the umbrella, now walking beside her, both silent under the soft tapping of the rain on canvas.

After a moment, she spoke again.

"I'm Xanny. You?"

He glanced at her.

"…Kenji."

She nodded lightly, as if she already knew.

They continued walking in silence for a few moments, the world quiet except for the rain around them.

Then Xanny looked at him out of the corner of her eye.

"You looked lonely."

Kenji didn't answer.

Not because he didn't want to—but because she was right.

And for the first time in a while…

He didn't feel it anymore.
