Chapter 427: The Titan Snow Demon King
"Don't worry, just follow my instructions when we meet the Ice Empress. I guarantee we can make her sacrifice herself to you, just like in the video." Tianmeng Iceworm said with absolute confidence.
The reason he was so sure was simple the Ice Empress had no other choice. Once he reasoned with her and appealed to her emotions, she would have no option but to surrender.
Besides, the future video had already revealed that Huo Yuhao eventually became a god.
That alone proved their original plan had worked meaning his confidence in convincing the Ice Empress was even higher now.
"Alright." Huo Yuhao nodded.
Of course, he would listen to Tianmeng's guidance.
In this vast frozen land, he had no one else to rely on.
As for Ye Lao?
Even though he was powerful, he wasn't all powerful.
Right now, he was just a fragment, capable of providing knowledge and unleashing a terrifying one time attack in a desperate moment.
But aside from that, he couldn't help much in their current situation.
"Let's go. Keep heading north until we reach the core of the Extreme North. Do you have enough food? We'll be out here for at least ten days. There's plenty of water, but there's nothing here to eat."
Tianmeng Iceworm reminded him.
Huo Yuhao patted the soul tool at his waist confidently.
"No worries, I'm fully prepared."
Now that the cold was no longer a threat, he felt like he was in peak condition.
In fact, he had a strong feeling that he wouldn't just find the fragment he might also gain a hundred thousand year soul beast as a sacrifice.
No wonder Ye Lao kept calling him "the Son of Fate."
With this kind of luck, as long as a certain shady god didn't pull any underhanded tricks, Huo Yuhao felt almost invincible.
With everything ready, he pressed forward toward the core region of the Extreme North.
Coincidentally, the fragment's location was also in the same direction.
What a perfect coincidence two birds with one stone.
Although the biting winds were no longer an issue, the thickening snow still slowed him down.
Luckily, this was when his Spiritual Detection truly shined.
Whenever the terrain became uncertain, he would scan ahead, allowing him to predict dangers and choose the safest paths.
Tianmeng Iceworm, for once, wasn't sleeping.
Instead, he was constantly guiding Huo Yuhao, occasionally changing his direction.
More interestingly, Huo Yuhao could sense that Tianmeng was releasing a faint spiritual aura from his body.
Compared to Tianmeng's colossal spiritual power, his own felt as insignificant as a drop of water in the ocean.
Yet, he had no idea what the iceworm was searching for.
Two more days passed.
By now, Huo Yuhao had fully entered the desolate wilderness of the Extreme North.
Along the way, he had encountered some soul beasts, but thanks to Tianmeng's guidance, he avoided every single dangerous one.
The snow grew thicker and thicker.
When it reached above his knees, he had to chop down trees and fashion two wooden planks to strap to his feet effectively making his own crude snowshoes.
Going downhill, he could even slide forward, making travel a little easier.
Although his speed slowed down considerably, he had already traveled over 400 miles into the Extreme North.
However, Tianmeng Iceworm was now changing his route more frequently.
Then, suddenly
"Quick! Get down! Bury yourself in the snow and don't move not even if something touches you!"
Tianmeng's urgent voice rang in his mind.
Huo Yuhao instantly obeyed, dropping to the ground and covering himself with snow.
He held his breath.
Barely ten seconds later, a terrifying aura descended.
Even though he was buried under the snow, his Spiritual Detection was still active.
And what he sensed made his entire body tremble in fear.
An overwhelmingly powerful presence was approaching.
The moment it arrived, Huo Yuhao's spiritual scan was instantly crushed as if obliterated by sheer force.
He couldn't even see what it was.
But from what little he could sense, this entity was gigantic.
And its aura was so suffocatingly oppressive that Huo Yuhao felt like it could wipe him out just by breathing.
Then, suddenly
THUMP.
A massive weight crushed down onto his back.
It slammed him deep into the ground.
The impact knocked the air out of his lungs, and his entire body sank into the frozen earth beneath the snow.
Yet, just as the crushing force hit, he felt a strange hardness form around his body.
Tianmeng's molted skin!
It absorbed most of the force, preventing his bones from turning into paste.
Even so, Huo Yuhao couldn't breathe.
His chest burned painfully.
But he didn't dare move an inch.
Even if this thing touched him again, he had to stay completely still otherwise, he was dead.
The pressure disappeared shortly after.
The terrifying aura faded away.
But Tianmeng remained silent.
So Huo Yuhao didn't move.
Only when ten more seconds had passed did Tianmeng finally say:
"Alright. You can get up now."
Huo Yuhao crawled out of the snow, gasping desperately for air.
The cold air burned his lungs, making him shiver violently.
But he didn't care he was still alive.
"I... I almost died just now."
Even though he never saw it, he knew for certain he had just brushed past death itself.
Once his breathing stabilized, he stood up only to freeze in terror again.
He was standing inside an enormous footprint.
And there were many more around him.
Each footprint was at least five meters long and two meters wide.
"Brother Tianmeng... what the hell was that?"
"How can its footprints be this big?"
Tianmeng Iceworm also sounded nervous.
"Damn, I almost went back to the cycle of reincarnation just now."
"That thing… it has spiritual attributes too. It actually blocked my detection!"
"Luckily, my spiritual power far surpasses his otherwise, we'd both be dead."
Then, after a deep breath, Tianmeng revealed the truth.
"Kid… you just encountered one of the Three Kings of the Extreme North."
"The Titan Snow Demon King."
Huo Yuhao's eyes widened in shock.
"Titan Snow Demon King?! What kind of soul beast is that?!"
Tianmeng Iceworm explained:
"The Three Kings of the Extreme North are the rulers of this frozen land."
"They're the true overlords here the equivalent of the Beast Kings of the Star Dou Forest."
"And all three of them have lived for over a hundred thousand years."
After learning the truth, Huo Yuhao felt a cold sweat despite the freezing environment.
He had just survived an encounter with one of the strongest beings in the Extreme North.
He didn't want to stick around for another.
Without hesitation
He picked up his pace.
He had to find the fragment and get the hell out of here.
This place was far too dangerous.
