Chapter 417 - Chapter 417: Dragon Tomb? More Like a Mass Grave

Chapter 417: Dragon Tomb? More Like a Mass Grave

During the war against the Divine Realm, the beast race led by the Dragon God suffered a crushing defeat. When they fled, there was no chance to take anything of value with them.

As a result, the Silver Dragon King was now practically penniless aside from her own strength and the Dragon God's Creation Godhood, she had nothing left.

Trapped on Douluo Star, a mere mortal world, she naturally couldn't find anything that would significantly aid a god level being.

As for the so called Dragon Valley in Douluo Dalu 3?

That place wasn't under the Silver Dragon King's control it was nothing more than a mass grave for divine beast corpses, a dumping ground created by the Divine Realm.

The war had resulted in the deaths of far too many powerful dragons. The Divine Realm had to decide what to do with their bodies. Leaving them in the Divine Realm would only pollute the environment. Yet, as divine beasts, their corpses still held some value.

Thus, the so called "Dragon Valley" was created. The supposed "Dragon Tomb" from Douluo Dalu 4 contradicted everything established in the first three parts of the series.

Ye Cheng was far more inclined to believe that the "Dragon Valley" in Douluo Dalu 3 was simply a dumping ground where the Divine Realm discarded the corpses of the defeated dragon race.

Otherwise, how could so many dead dragons have ended up in the same small plane?

Clearly, the victorious gods of the Divine Realm had gathered the remains of the fallen dragon gods and thrown them into a minor dimension saving them for future use.

Then, in Douluo Dalu 3, Tang San, upon realizing his son had inherited the Golden Dragon King's power, began scheming. To help his son fully control this power, he repurposed the dragon mass grave, disguising it as a "training ground" for the Tang Sect's disciples.

Later, he manipulated Tang Wulin and Gu Yue (Gu Yuena) into visiting Dragon Valley, ensuring his son would bury the fallen dragons and gain the favor of the dragon race most importantly, securing the goodwill of the Silver Dragon King herself. Tang San aimed to claim the last hope of the divine beast lineage for his own purposes.

At this point in time, however, Dragon Valley did not yet exist on Douluo Continent.

Since Tang San hadn't made his arrangements yet, the Silver Dragon King had only one viable option for regaining her strength:

The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.

This was the burial site of the Water Dragon King and Fire Dragon King two fallen dragon gods from the Divine Realm War.

Of course, the Silver Dragon King and her group were unaware of this yet. But out of trust in the Three Eyed Golden Lion's power of destiny, they decided to investigate. Even if they found nothing, they wouldn't lose anything beyond a bit of time.

But if they did find something, the rewards could be enormous her strength might recover much sooner than expected, allowing her to crush all opposition!

Guided by the Three Eyed Golden Lion's destiny power, the group of soul beasts, led by the Silver Dragon King, finally arrived at the outskirts of a forest.

The Sunset Forest.

The videos had never revealed the precise location of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Furthermore, the area's unique environment made it incredibly difficult to find without the guidance of the Three Eyed Golden Lion's power.

The vegetation in Sunset Forest was noticeably sparser than in Star Dou Forest, with slightly different species of plants and creatures.

As they entered the forest, weak soul beasts immediately began appearing but they were all pitifully feeble, barely at the ten year level.

"Is this desolate place really where the legendary treasure is located?" Di Tian and the other soul beasts frowned.

"There's no mistake this is the place," the Three Eyed Golden Lion said confidently.

Ye Cheng nodded in agreement. "Indeed. The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well is located within this forest. I can confirm that much for certain."

"You mean you already knew its location?" Di Tian and the others were surprised.

"My soul is incomplete, and many of my memories are fragmented," Ye Cheng explained. "There are many things I have forgotten. But after entering this forest, the familiar scenery jogged my memory. In my world, the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well is located right here. I expect it to be the same in your world."

"I see," Di Tian and the others nodded, fully convinced.

The group ventured deeper into Sunset Forest.

The further they traveled, the denser the vegetation became.

However, something strange became apparent despite reaching the deeper parts of the forest, there were still no powerful soul beasts. Not a single ten thousand year soul beast had appeared, and even thousand year soul beasts were rare.

For a forest of this size, that was completely abnormal.

Soon, they discovered the reason.

"Wait… what's this?"

They noticed a faint mist drifting through the trees.

As they advanced, the mist thickened and changed colors. It was clearly unnatural.

"Miasma!"

The Silver Dragon King immediately recognized it.

There was no doubt the mist was poisonous. And the deeper they went, the stronger the poison became.

Even Title Douluos or hundred thousand year soul beasts likely wouldn't be able to penetrate far into this area.

But to the Silver Dragon King and the others, this was nothing.

As for the Three Eyed Golden Lion, it was shielded by a protective barrier, ensuring the poison wouldn't harm it.

Pressing forward, they deliberately headed toward the densest miasma. The mist's color shifted constantly until it became a shimmering, seven colored haze.

Along the way, they saw the corroded bones of soul beasts scattered across the ground clear evidence of the poison's terrifying potency.

As they neared their destination, the Silver Dragon King's expression subtly changed.

She could feel it an unsettlingly familiar presence emanating from the depths of this place.

There was no doubt.

This place was connected to the dragon race.

It might even be linked to the Dragon Kings who once served under the Dragon God.

The group quickened their pace, easily overcoming the seven colored poison mist, the Jade Phosphor Seven Death Flower, the Jade Phosphor Poison Cloud, the venomous vines along the mountain walls…

All of these would have been deadly obstacles to ordinary soul beasts or humans.

But in front of this group of absolute apex level beings, they were meaningless unable to slow them down even for a second.

After breaking through all barriers, they finally arrived at their destination.

What lay before them…

Was a paradise on earth.

And a small lake divided into two distinct colors.

The moment the Silver Dragon King laid eyes on the lake, she froze struck as if by lightning.

Memories belonging to the Dragon God surged through her mind.

In that instant, she understood exactly how this place had come to be.
