CASEY
Sebastian pulls back, then glances past me. His eyes land on Jennifer, and it's as if he's just seeing her for the first time.
"And who's this?" he asks with a polite smile.
"Oh..this is Jennifer, my coworker."
Jennifer leans forward quickly. "And her best friend," she adds with a wide grin, clearly enjoying the show.
Sebastian smiles, warm and disarming. "All right. Maybe I'll see you sometime. We could have dinner, all three of us."
"I'd love that," Jennifer says, a little too enthusiastically.
He nods toward her, then turns slightly, offering a single, neutral glance in the direction of Leonard and Caesar. Not a word. Just that cool, composed nod. Then he walks into the elevator.
And as the doors slide shut behind him, I look up and realise the entire floor has gone still. Silent. Everyone had been watching...Everyone.
My eyes find him. Cesar.
