CASEY
When the Monroes finally leave, I take a sigh of relief. I release a breath I've been holding for a very long time.
At least that's done right. My mother and Leonard see them off. Sebastian, of course, lingers behind. I guess they expect us to kiss or something...I don't know, before he leaves.
He turns towards me and stares. I don't look at him. I keep my eyes fixed on the door where everyone just exited. I scroll through my phone, not really seeing anything.
"Okay," I say flatly. "That was five minutes. You can go now."
He smiles. Doesn't say anything.
I walk away. I want to head upstairs to my room, desperate to get off this dress, to get off this day. Take a really, really long shower, hoping that everything that happened was a dream, and when I wake up, it'll all be over.
But I don't make it far. He catches me by the hand and pulls me toward him. I'm not expecting it.
