Chapter 247 - Chapter 246: The Meeting of Two 'Kidnapped' Children

Torifu was so angry that he wanted to argue with the old man! Back when he was teaching Nawaki, he had traded many exotic flowers and plants from the system to feed him. That was how he was able to improve his talent. Otherwise, would Nawaki have the abilities he has today?

"Sensei, elder brother has your blood as well, but why isn't he a genius?"

"Well..."

Hashirama was speechless for a moment, not knowing how to refute him. This little brat stabbed him right in the heart with his words! As expected, only family knows where it hurts the most!

Even though Hashirama was a little upset, he still pretended not to care. "Do you understand what it means to inherit from a previous generation? Nawaki's excellent talent is entirely inherited from me!"

Torifu didn't bother to argue with Hashirama anymore. The old man knew the truth in his heart; he just didn't want to admit it and was only putting up a verbal fight.

"Alright, Sensei, whatever you say. We probably won't be able to have lunch here, so I'll take Minato to eat out. You and Lady Mito take good care of Kushina."

Hashirama waved his hand as if to shoo them away. "Go on, go on. All you do is make me mad all day."

Torifu led Minato away. It wasn't even lunchtime anymore. He decided to take Minato home to rest first, as he must have been tired from waking up so early.

"How do you feel about that little girl?"

Minato had been so focused on looking at the buildings on the streets of the Hidden Leaf Village that he didn't even hear him. "Huh? What did you say, Sensei?"

Torifu was a little helpless. "I said, what do you think of that little girl?"

Minato scratched his head. "I don't even know her, so how would I know what she's like? But she seemed pretty polite."

"You two will probably be classmates in the future. Get along well."

Minato looked at the people walking back and forth on the street, feeling that everything was new and exciting. "Isn't she a princess from the Land of Whirlpools? How can a princess be friends with a civilian like me?"

Even though Minato had joined the Hidden Leaf Village and become an official citizen, he hadn't fully accepted his new identity. He was still very self-conscious, especially when facing people like princesses and princes. After all, the ideas he had previously absorbed were that he was a civilian who should just be a good farmer. The world of nobles was something they could never aspire to. Although he had now come to this new place and had a new identity, the beliefs he had accepted before couldn't be changed overnight.

Torifu patted Minato's head. "In the Hidden Leaf Village, there are no nobles or civilians. So-called princesses and princes are just a status."

"If you think she's a princess, then she's a princess. If you think she's just a regular friend, then she's a regular friend."

Minato was a little confused. "Nii-san, what you're saying is a little hard to follow... I don't really get it."

Torifu smiled. "What I mean is, you shouldn't look down on yourself. The Hidden Leaf Village is a place that values strength. If you don't have strength, no one will care about your status, no matter how noble it is."

Minato nodded. This time, he understood. He just had to work hard to improve his strength.

"As long as you train hard and get stronger, the villagers will naturally get to know you and respect you, because that's how I got to where I am."

Minato was fired up by Torifu's words. He clenched his fists and said, "Sensei, don't worry! I will definitely become a great man!"

Torifu patted Minato's head again. "That's my disciple. That's the kind of confidence I want to see."

After these two times of hair-patting, Minato's hair was a mess. He covered his head and asked, "Sensei, why do you always like to pat my head?"

"Cough, cough... It feels nice, of course. As for the other reason, you'll know in the future."

Torifu didn't say it outright, and Minato was a little confused. But it was okay for Sensei to pat his head. It made him feel like he had a family again, as if his mother and father were still by his side. Witnessing his parents die right in front of him had been a huge blow to Minato. The fact that he was doing so well today was thanks to the guidance from Kakuzu and the constant care from Torifu. Torifu always gave Minato the utmost support and encouragement, which gradually helped him become more confident.

"Let's go home first. I'll take you out for some barbecue for lunch."

Minato nodded. He had never had a real barbecue meal in his life, as his family was not very wealthy. Coming to the Hidden Leaf Village, his quality of life had changed drastically, but it always gave him a sense of unreality. It felt like a grand, illusory dream. But if this was really a dream, he hoped he would never wake up. Because outside of this dream, he was all alone.

When Torifu brought Minato home, he saw Amado in the courtyard talking to Snowflake. But it seemed he had angered Snowflake, who pecked at Amado's head twice before flying away.

Torifu walked over, smiling. "What happened? You managed to anger Snowflake, who has such a good temper."

Amado waved his hand. "Nothing, I just played a joke on her, but it backfired."

Amado then noticed the blond-haired boy next to Torifu, who was wearing a cape and looked very cool.

"Old brother, who is this?"

Torifu smiled. "He's my new disciple, and just like you, he was brought back by Kakuzu."

Amado hadn't heard the name Kakuzu in a long time, and he hadn't seen the man in a long time either. He seemed to only keep in contact with Torifu. Every time he came to the Hidden Leaf, it was always early in the morning, and he would leave quickly, which made it impossible for Amado to see him.

Amado had always been very grateful to Kakuzu. He remembered that the man hadn't said much on the way to the Hidden Leaf Village. But it was this silent person who had changed the trajectory of his life. From a parentless orphan, he came to this wealthy home, living a life of luxury and receiving the best education.

"It's truly a twist of fate. I never thought Uncle Kakuzu would bring back a new family member."

He then extended his hand to Minato. "Hello, little brother. My name is Amado Sanzu. You can just call me Amado Nii-san."

Minato shook Amado's hand and smiled.

Minato had learned from Torifu that all the electrical facilities used in the shinobi world were made by Amado. He was so young yet had become a famous inventor throughout the entire shinobi world. He was truly amazing!

"Hello, Amado Nii-san. My name is Namikaze Minato, and I am Torifu Nii-san's disciple."

Amado nodded. "Good. You can learn a lot from our elder brother. Surpassing me in the future will be very easy."

After all, his main focus was not ninjutsu but invention and research. Although he was currently researching civilian electronics, he would definitely research weapons in the future. This was because Torifu had told him that there were potential threats in the world that were difficult even for him to deal with.
