Katherine's POV
It was two days after I resigned from my job and bawled my eyes at a public place. I realized how reckless I had been that night and felt ashamed of myself. I was grateful that no one there had recognized me as Jack's wife and uploaded a video of me online. That would have been a scandal that Jack and I wouldn't be able to recover from easily.
I thought of Jack and sighed with a pleased grin. If I had known Jack would change if I did that, I would have bawled my eyes sooner. I still didn't know what exactly happened the other night between me and Jack but it had changed something and I wasn't about to complain.
"You have a visitor, ma'am." Susan said as she walked into my bedroom, breaking into my reverie.
I stared at her in surprise. "A visitor?" The surprise was evident in my voice.
I wasn't expecting anyone. No one I knew knew this house and that meant that it was someone that I didn't know.
