Chapter 235 - 235. Other way down

Wandi finally led the Athamana group almost to the beach before he even stopped for a moment. Etele and the army of ghosts remained at the party, so that only the living were present at that time. The most of whom did not really understand the reason for their hurry, so they were now waiting curiously to see if their friend would initiate them.

"I will be the one to ask." Citar finally sighed heavily, then turned towards Wandi with his hands on his hips. "Why on earth did we have to come so quickly? The party was still going on. Is there something wrong?" He asked in a worried voice, whereupon the danovus boy grimaced.

"Not so much a problem, more like something that cannot be postponed." Wandi noted, but this only made his companions understand the situation even less than before.

"Wandi, don't make me beat the crap out of you!" Citar poked the danovus boy in the chest.

"I heard something." Wandi began with great difficulty. "It wasn't completely clear, but it seemed like someone was talking about having to go back under the sea, and there was something about a temporary check." The danovus grimaced.

"What do you mean by something?" Achilleus questioned Wandi, who even started scratching his head in confusion.

"I'm telling you, it wasn't clear." The danovus countered.

"Okay, then I have a more important question." Benkó raised his right index finger. "Do you hear those whoevers now?" He asked, but their friend didn't even have to answer, his face was enough for the team to know that the answer would be negative.

"It was fucking worth running for this. Why did they have to be so fast?" Suk growled and even started rolling his eyes.

"Hey, stop. Wandi did everything he could to catch up with them." Teveli hit the Zovárd boy in the side.

"However, if they were talking about going back under the water, then there must be a way down." Tele Tete thought aloud.

"Achilleus, can you see where it is?" Razvan turned to the Motumisz boy.

"On it, boss!" He said immediately, then pulled out his map and, squatting on the shore, pushed it into the sea water. After that, there was silence for a few minutes, as everyone waited to see what Achilleus would find on the map. "Well, Wandi didn't drag us here unnecessarily." The boy finally noted, then looked up at the team with a grin. "There is an enterance nearby. It's a cave same as on Cannibal Island." He explained enthusiastically.

"Perfect, then let's go and continue our task." Razvan smiled when someone cleared their throat. Hearing the sound, everyone turned as one towards the team's undersea-walker. Llyr stood in front of the team, wringing his hands and doing everything he could to avoid everyone's gaze.

"Is there something wrong?" Rahul finally asked the question.

"Well, there's actually a small problem." The undersea-walker's ex-foreign minister began in a halting voice.

"And what's the small problem?" Razvan asked in a serious voice.

"Well, that enterance doesn't exactly take us down to our place." Llyr scratched the back of his neck.

"Well, since we're on the other side of the world, we figured that out." Achilleus rolled his eyes. "It helps a lot if we get down. Then we'll figure out how to get to you." The boy waved.

"Yeah, but I can't go down there." The undersea-walker continued haltingly.

"Why not? They'll hand you over as a traitor?" Tele Tete pursed his lips.

"I didn't even think about that." Llyr's face turns even whiter, thanks to which it becomes so pale that even the clouds in the sky are not that pale.

"Okay. Let's forget that they'll hand you over, why can't you go down there?" Razvan raised his hand to stop the team before they bombarded the poor unfortunate undersea-walker with more questions.

"I'm not on a diplomatic mission, I don't have the badge that allows me to survive the warm sea." Llyr spread his arms desperately, but the team just blinked at him in confusion.

"Can the sea be warm, Rahul?" Benkó suddenly turned to the chüvigh hegin with questioning eyes.

"Hey, don't look at me like that! I have no idea." Rahul pointed to himself.

"Of course it can." Llyr shook his head, as if he were talking to children.

"And why wouldn't you survive the warm sea?" Teveli asked, tilting his head to the side.

"I don't know why, but if I went down into the warm sea without the badge, I would boil from the inside in minutes." The undersea-walker shivered at the thought.

"What kind of badge?" Suk also intervened.

"It's like the one you have." The undersea-walker nudged the nearest Athamana, who happened to be Benkó.

"Matthias' passport?" The Bokló boy grimaced as he began to look more closely at the butterfly badge.

"I don't know what you call it, but that's it." Llyr shrugged. "The warm undersea-walkers and us don't exactly have the best relationship. When we have to go to a meeting, it takes weeks to arrange for the other country's envoys to have the appropriate clothing, and only then can we begin the whole meeting thing. If you ask me, that's an awful lot of trouble for the hour and a half that the meeting itself lasts." The undersea-walker started complaining.

"Wait, is there any use for this besides being a passport?" Achilleus gaped, examining his own badge.

"Well, I just said it was good for other things." Llyr rolled his eyes. "But that doesn't change the fact that I can't go down without getting into trouble." The man tensed up.

"And how close can you go to the other's area?" Teveli suddenly asked.

"Well, usually up to the border." The undersea-walker ex-foreign minister said cautiously and looked suspiciously at the hegin who asked the question.

"If that's the case, we could try to get you to come as long as you can and ask for a badge for you." Teveli suggested the idea.

"What? But, but, but... What if I can't even put my foot in the water?" Llyr started to get nervous.

"Isn't it obvious? Then you'll wait for us here." Suk shrugged.

"Among the bloodsuckers? Alone?" As he asked these things, Llyr started to tremble like a reed in the wind.

"Oh, don't be so afraid." Physalis Alkekengi raised her hands next to her head. "We're not that bad." She folded her arms in front of her. "But if you really don't want to be alone, I'll sacrifice myself and stay here with you." She rolled her eyes, which made the undersea-walker look at her with almost tearful eyes. "Don't start thanking me, or I'll strike you down." The danovus lady flashed her teeth angrily.

"Okay, now that we've decided this, we might as well take a look at this cave. Achilleus lead!" Razvan turned to the Motomisz boy and gave him the order, thanks to which the team set off with Achilleus in the lead towards the cave leading under the sea.
