Ancient Imperial Calendar Year 1814
As the Winter season slowly arrived in the Western Territories, uninvited guests from the South had entered the Western Lands without permission.
They had entered the West from four different directions. The Arfas People, who ruled the endless deserts of the South, had chosen the wrong time to attack. Winter had come to the Western Territories, and after the North, Winter blew most harshly in the West.
Ricardo, just like the enemy, divided his army into four:
1. The 1st Army under Ricardo's command.
2. The 2nd Army under Eduardo's command.
3. The 3rd Army under the command of Adolf Fraus, father of Heinricht Fraus.
4. The 4th Army under the command of Jamier Kislavein, father of Jacop.
The Arfas soldiers entered the Western Territories through the southern region. Each of the four divided armies consisted of 100 Legions.
In contrast, each of Ricardo's armies consisted of only 9 Legions. In short, for the Kislavein Dynasty to win this war, they needed a miracle, just like in the war against the Turvigs—or rather, they needed Dark Magic.
VI Hasan Arfas, full name Hasan bin Üzeyr bin Hamza el Arfasi.
In 1769, his grandfather, IV Hamza, was killed in a one-on-one duel by V Ryas, the 63rd Lord of the Kislavein Dynasty, at the Battle of El Umayr. A bloody throne war began in the Arfas Lands.
In 1771, VI Hasan's father, II Üzeyr, emerged victorious from the throne war and took the throne of the Arfas Dynasty. But he too was killed in 1800 by V Ryas's son, IV Orsman, at the Battle of Corpse Valley, sparking a bloody civil war that would last for many years.
In 1810, VI Hasan killed all his brothers and nephews and took the throne of the Arfas Dynasty. He had one goal:
To destroy the Kislavein Dynasty—the killers of his father and grandfather, who had constantly plunged his country into bloody civil wars—at the first opportunity he got, and to wash the Western Territories in blood.
VI Hasan found the opportunity he was looking for within just a few years. The Wilheim Pleyciys Rebellion and the Turvig Invasion attempt, although unsuccessful, had weakened the Western Territories.
VI Hasan felt he had to hurry, even if the season wasn't favorable, because the war in the Eastern Territories was about to end.
If he was late, the main Kislavein Army fighting in the Eastern Territories and IV Orsman Kislavein, considered the world's strongest warrior and mage, would return to the West, and VI Hasan would have missed this opportunity served to him on a golden platter.
Therefore, VI Hasan divided his army of 400 Legions into four and attacked the Western Territories through the Southern region. In the first month alone, a million people had been massacred.
The news was delivered to Ricardo, who had just left the Kislavein capital, by a messenger.
"Damn it!"
Hearing Ricardo's angry curse, his friend and advisor, Marco Kislavein, spurred his horse next to his friend to calm him down. His voice was soothing.
"Calm down, Dynasty Leader. Your anger is justified, but you have emerged from every difficult situation, albeit with difficulty, and stronger each time."
Ricardo calmed down at Marco's words. He gripped his horse's reins tightly, spurred forward, and gave a passionate speech to his army.
"The rats of the South have done what their name suggests and attacked us at our weakest moment! BUT WE ARE THE KISLAVEIN DYNASTY! WAR BEGINS AND ENDS WITH US! THE TIME HAS COME TO DRIVE THE WHORE-LIKE RATS OF THE SOUTH BACK INTO THE HOLE THEY CAME OUT OF THEIR MOTHERS! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? LET YOUR VOICES SHAKE THE EARTH AND SKY!"
The Kislavein soldiers were fired up by their commander Ricardo Kislavein's passionate speech. They roared like lions until their throats were on the verge of tearing.
"KISLAVEIN! KISLAVEIN! KISLAVEIN!"
Just as Ricardo finished his speech to encourage his army, the first battle was about to begin.
The 4th Army of the Arfas soldiers, under the command of Arfas Dynasty Heir Ahmet Arfas, was advancing through Corpse Valley.
"Victory is already certain, father," said Jacop excitedly.
"You're right, son. It's truly funny that these fools are stupid enough to pass through Corpse Valley when there are so many other routes," said Jacop's father, Jamier.
Corpse Valley was the area where IV Orsman had defeated II Üzeyr Arfas in battle long ago. It got its name from the millions of minion corpses killed in the war being buried collectively in this valley.
The Arfas armies were advancing at the front under the command of Ahmet bin Hasan. Every individual of the army was positioned right on top of Corpse Valley.
Jamier stood up. Along with him, all the Dark Mages of the Kislavein Dynasty also stood up.
"NOW!"
At Jamier's command, tens of thousands of Kislavein Dark Mages performed Dark Magic.
"AMBUSH! GO ON THE DEFENSIVE!"
The Arfas Dynasty Heir and army commander, Ahmet bin Hasan, thought it was an ambush.
The entire army raised their shields and went on the defensive. At that moment, they felt a warmth under their legs.
"Hey, do you feel that?" "Yes,there's something warm." "What? What's happening?"
Before the Arfas soldiers' surprise could fade, hundreds of thousands of explosions occurred one after another.
The over a million corpses in the mass graves they had thoughtlessly passed over began to explode like bombs, making the Arfas soldiers experience hell.
"Aaaaaaaaahhhhh!" "Helppp!" "Aaahh!"
The corpse explosions followed one another. The severed limbs of Arfas soldiers flew into the air, only to be destroyed by another explosion.
Soldiers flung meters into the air by the force of an explosion crashed to the ground, their broken bones tearing through their flesh and protruding from their bodies, creating a horrifying sight.
The smell of burning human flesh was the same as that of a pork chop grilling on a barbecue. This smell had spread around and reached the noses of the Kislavein soldiers watching the explosions.
"Hey, this smell is fantastic." "Yeah,it made me hungry."
This situation caused some soldiers to develop an appetite from the smell, and these soldiers were disgusted with themselves.
"Have you lost your minds?!"
While the Kislavein soldiers argued among themselves, the corpse explosions had ended.
"Follow me!" said Jamier Kislavein, commander of the 4th Army.
"Be careful! Don't let your guard down! Be careful!"
Jamier's attitude had permeated the Kislavein soldiers, and everyone began to advance with cautious steps.
"Father," said Jacop. Something had caught his attention. "Look, this is from the uniforms worn by the Arfas Dynasty commanders."
At his son's words, Jamier fixed his eyes on a corpse rendered unrecognizable by the explosions. He examined it for a while and inspected the armor. He was amazed.
"What magnificent craftsmanship," said Jacop with admiring eyes.
He ran his hand over the armor, examining every detail. Jamier loved such intricately detailed designs. But something caught his attention.
"These words on the armor, Jacop! Read it, now! You learned the Southern language! Read it!"
Jacop was stunned by his father's panicked order but immediately sprang into action and read:
"From Master Blacksmith Cafer bin Tayyan El Husayri to the Star of the Dynasty and its Future Sun."
Jacop's face lit up as if flowers were blooming. He looked at his father excitedly.
"Father! This is Arfas Dynasty Heir Ahmet! We've killed VI Hasan's eldest son!"
Jamier stood up and shouted cries of joy.
"HAAAA HAHAHA! THAT'S IT! THAT'S IT, BOYS! WE'RE HEADING TO THE NEAREST CITY! TONIGHT'S FEAST IS ON ME!"
The Kislavein soldiers had achieved their first victory against the South. At the same time, the other armies would engage in battle at different hours.
One army of the Arfas Dynasty had been annihilated, but they still had three more armies, each consisting of 100 Legions.
