Chapter 3 - The Moysar

The shining rivers of Tridaire, the riveting oceans as far as the eye can see. The world of Tridaire had many beautiful things, but what the seatra considered to be the most fascinating place among them. The freedom, the way water hits your body as you swim faster and faster throughout the open sea.

The seatra stayed out of world-changing affairs, and in turn, the world didn't bother them. This changed when their villages were attacked by some sort of evil depriving from the Woods of Cherise in the Kingdom of Moon Territory. Pillaging, eating, and killing innocent seatra as they move along the Gulf of Omega.

One seatra made it out, a young girl. Climbing up onto the eastern beach, she runs into the forest, weighed down by her guilt and sorrow for her people. Her light feet hit the ground, not even making a footprint in the dirt, but her heart shattered, hurt, and bleeding as she entered the thick woods.

Leon takes the seatra girl out of the river, "Can you tell me your name?" he asks her. The seatra girl stares at Leon for a couple of seconds. Finally, speaking in a defensive, injured voice, "Yes, my name is Parodona."

Parodona turns to look at Rowyn and immediately backs away; "What is that THING doing here? Where exactly am I?!" she utters in a low voice.

Rowyn peers at Leon with narrowed eyes. Leon shakes his head at Rowyn to not say anything. "Rowyn, go get our medical plants and bring them here, we shall not make her walk that distance injured. That would most likely kill her." Rowyn growls and stomps back to the stone cave, the loudness of his feet heard throughout the forest, causing the birds to fly out of the trees.

Leon holds Parodona in his arms, "We have Grattle, it's a plant with healing properties. However, can I ask you a question, Parodona?" Parodona nods as she holds Leon's arms to steady herself.

"What happened? Where did you come from?" She gazes at him, "That's two questions stranger, I will answer them both. But I do not know your name."

Leon's face fills with embarrassment, "Apologies! You can call me Leon, Leon Mystic. Pardon my rudeness, but I was in a hurry to know what had happened." Her face lightens up with a bloody smile, "Oh man, this is great, you got so embarrassed, I didn't know we were doing last names too!" She laughs heartily. Leon smiles as he holds her steady once more, seizing her laughter, "Parodona, you must calm yourself or you will get injured even more" She continues chuckling, "Oh, calm yourself, Mr. Mystic Magic, I won't get-"

They hear a huge crash in the direction where Rowyn stormed off. Leon puts Parodona down and stands up quickly. He looks at Parodona hesitantly. She slaps his ankles from the ground, nearly tripping him, "Go, you idiot, that could be your friend in trouble! Don't worry about me!" Leon nods and runs towards the crash, covering himself fully in his patched green cloak.

Leon arrives at the origin of the sound a couple of minutes later to witness Rowyn getting up. Leon looks around with a look of curiosity and caution, "Rowyn, were you attacked?! What happened? Are you okay?" Rowyn looks at him awkwardly, "I uh, I uh tripped on a tree branch and fell. That's what that loud crash was. No intruders, attackers, or otherwise. Just me, uh, falling." Leon looks at him baffled, "Rowyn, you are dumb as a rock sometimes, funny considering how your race is made of stone yet you have intelligence, now please use it my friend." Leon sighs exasperated. "Now let's get these supplies to Parodora." he then picks up the supplies at Rowyn's feet.

As both of them walk through the woods, they reach the river again. Parodona was standing on her feet, somehow all healed. Leon puts the supplies on the ground, "Parodona, you were just severely injured, how are you?- I thought Seatra's couldn't heal themselves with water?"

Parodona walks towards him and whispers in his ear, "They don't." As she walks into the woods, she shouts, "Don't question it! Better if you didn't know! Let's talk inside this home of yours, Leon." Leon and Rowyn look at each other, shrug, and follow her.

Parodona, Leon, and Rowyn are all sitting in chairs at a table with a candle. "Speak Parodona. What happened in Kingdom of Licher?" Parodona drinks a cup of water and frowns at him.

"Our village was attacked. By White Moysar. As you humans call them. Moy Gakthar(Moysar White) for you're rock brain of a friend." She scoffs and mutters something under her breath; "You Paktra Ta-Bya Tui-Da(Petrified Eroded Fuckface)." she glares at Rowyn with detestation. Rowyn clenches his fist as his hand begins to break into pieces; "You Jakla Ma-Tau Polat(Siren Spawn Bitch) he mutters, voice dripped in ice cold words. Leon shakes his head at Rowyn with a soft expression. Rowyn unclenches his hand and it starts regenerating slowly as he eats a pebble.

Leon focuses his attention back on Parodona, "Continue Parodona, and in the future while you are here, you will leave your quarrels with the Unisaki alone please"

With a nod Parodona continues; "White Moysar are evil sea creatures that have such extraordinary speed that you usually don't see them coming until it's too late. They were sent by the Pitergasts, hulk-like creatures of 300 pounds, born of pure evil and malice. Hey rock brain do you remember those while hiding out here your cave?"

Rowyn looks at her with cold eyes, "Do not talk to me like I am a child, Parodona. I know what the Moysar are. All too well. I do not think they were sent by the Pitergasts either."

Leon looks at Parodona with a glare as she peers back with a little curiosity but no shame about the insults thrown. Leon continues, "I agree with Rowyn, why would the Pitergasts send the Moysar out now? Not to mention, they don't even have a leader; it was killed long ago. As well as the fact Pitergasts are too dumb for this sort of plan. It doesn't make any sense."

Parodona looks at him, "Okay, then why do you suppose they attacked us?" Leon looks at her, his stare suddenly going cold; "I do not know, but I have some ideas. We must see the council of men in Esterron."

Parodona scoffs and slides her chair back, hitting the wall with a bang. "Council of Men?! What men you speak of are corrupt with greed! They care nothing for this world or its people." Leon suddenly stands up, face to face with Parodona, radiating an aura that shook the room. Rowyn and Parodona stiffened up, startled. "You will not speak about my people like that, is that understood, Parodona of the Seatra? I will speak with the council; whether you come or not is your choice. I have given your people my respect, now you shall give me the same courtesy. My people were once people of great potential."

Parodona gaze drifts away; "That may have been so, but then their first king abandoned them. So they fell into depravity and have become pathetic creatures."

Leon grabs a piece of bread and chomps on it. His gaze avoids Parodona's, "That's not what happened" he murmurs in a soft voice.

"What was that? I couldn't hear you"

"I said that's not what happened!" Leon yells as his bread goes flying across the room hitting Rowyn in the face.

Rowyn frowns, "Hey dude not cool" he mutters putting the bread aside.

"You have no idea what happened. My people have suffered without the first king yes, but he did not abandon them" Leon mumbles in a more calming voice now.

"Your people?! You keep saying your people like you were the king?! Who exactly are you to declare such a statement? The king of legend wouldn't be hiding out in a cave avoiding his people like a Co'warda like you are! Just because the human race is failing to stop their own impulses of greed does not mean that they get to decide everything! Stop protruding the insecurities of "your people" onto me! Flo Laki's Saferata! (For Laki's Sake!)"

Roywn starts slipping out of the cave as tensions grow, "I'm going outside to collect more rocks for the stone beer, excuse me."

Leon does not respond with words, only silence. The two just proceed on eating and staring at their respective walls.

After a little while, "I have a question, Leon, if you don't mind." Parodona tilts her head.

Leon nods his head, signaling her to ask.

"You said before that the Pitergasts leader died. That would be Gazon right? The protector of humans that went rogue? How did you know that he died?"

Leon shrugs as he starts to talks with bread sticking out of his mouth, "I mean it's quite obvious, right?-"

Parodona's hand shoots out as it shoves the sticking out piece of bread fully into Leon's mouth knocking him over. "DON'T TALK WITH YOUR MOUTH FULL IT'S RUDE AS HELL" she angrily spouts at him and looks away gritting her teeth.

Leon sits back up with a groan but continues, "They haven't been seen gathering the forces of Masangand since the first age, right? That's approximately four thousand years ago. I mean the records are kept by everyone besides the humans considering our lifespans. You all live about four times as long as we do. They've only gathered in small armies at a time throughout the years."

Parodona looks at him, squinting her eyes, "Don't lie to me, Leon. How did you know that? The ancient texts that were recorded were lost in the first age. None of us have records from that long ago. We only go back two thousand years to the second age. We don't know what happened to their leader. How do you know he died?"

Leon shifts in his chair uneasily, swallowing his bread with a gulp, "Uh-"
